Smoking Areas at the Theme Parks

I just remembered something DH shared with me that might be helpful to those worried about finding the smoking spots. Look for the ashtrays...while it may be difficult to find the spot on the map, if you look for the other smokers or the ashtrays--you can usually track it down!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who uses the smoking areas. As a Cast Member, it can easily get disheartening when you spend half your day asking people to move to the smoking areas, so it's always appreciated when there are people that care enough to wait to smoke until they find the right place. Thanks!

The smoking areas can be difficult to find because they're often unmarked, but the ashtray (usually in the lid of a trash can) gives it away. When in doubt, ask a CM before smoking. And if you're up to it, help us out by politely pointing out smokers we may have missed. Hey, why should they get to smoke in the middle of the street (surrounded by children and non-smokers) when you're doing the right thing?!

Except at the AKL.

At the AKL - the ONLY smoking places are the pool, out front (near the valet area), and balconies facing the parking lot.

If you have a savannah view, you may not smoke on your balcony. (At least this is what's streesed every where...not everyone follows it and some have said "well - housekeeping gave me an ashtray, it must be ok".

it's really not - it's for the safety of the animals...they are the biggest priority at that resorts next to the guests.
