Smoke sighting from OKW?

As I was sitting by the pool at OKW yesterday (7/25/07), waiting for DME , I noticed grey smoke in the distance off to the right of OKW. I then heard fire truck sirens. Does anyone know if there was some sort of fire yesterday moening between 9:00 and 9:30 am?

While I do not know what that was about, we visit WDW regularly {every month} and we quite often hear emergencey vehicles all over the property. With the amount of acreage, and the amount of people at any given moment at WDW, there is always some sort of emergency going on.........

I can't remember what day it was, but there was a pretty bad fire at the defunct Splendid China. I could see the smoke very clearly from Celebration so that might be what you saw at WDW. It was on Weds. or Thurs. and didn't get much news coverage at all.

We saw a big plume of smoke out near AK, but I think it was on Thursday the 26th. I checked the news and the web, but I couldn't find anything about it. It looked like a very intense fire with thick, black smoke.
