Small Suggestion

I would never lay my child on the top of the toilet seat or the floor of a bathroom. Do you know how many germs are lurking? Not to mention the airlplane can get kinda bumpy and you never know what misses the toilet and lands on the floor!

Actually, the toilet seat is almost certainly cleaner than you lap. Seriously. Toilet seats really aren't that germy. Icky, maybe, but basically clean.

The floor, on the other hand, is absolutely disgusting.

Add to the "What grosses me out..." discussion the mounds of people who think it's ok to check their blood sugars or administor injections at restaurants (which is freaking nasty!!!!) or in public places in general and then casually toss their sharps aside or in trash bins for the poor trash collectors to possible be stuck by. NASTIES!!! Seriously, this can be either done at timed intervals in your rooms or in the bathroom stalls and PLEASE bring your own sharps containers for disposal! There are a great many people out there who do not want to see you pricking your finger or injecting yourselves while they are trying to eat.

Gee, and no wonder that nasty norovirus has a grip on WDW right now. Changing a poopy diaper at a table and making no attempt to wash hands ... a perfect transmission right there! Blech.

I really think it comes down to laziness. Is it sometimes inconvenient to stop what you're doing and take your baby to the restroom for a diaper change? YUP, it sure is, but it's a part of being a parent - your life is no longer yours to do what you want when you want.

I can't count the number of times our DD needed a diaper change while we were at Disney and we had to stop what we were doing or where we were going to change her. It honestly didn't bother us one bit, but I'm sure other people find it absolutely inconvenient - why they had kids, I'll never know.

The only other public place we have ever changed DD is on the backseat of our car. We always use a disposable changing pad, even in our own car and we're sure to use wipes or antibacterial gel on our hands as soon as we're done. We change DD in a restroom, use a wipe on our hands, bring DD out to the other person and then go back in to wash our hands.

It's a process and it takes a few extra minutes, but it's safe for DD, for us and for people around us.
