Small Po-taaaaa-toes! My 09/11 TR & Pics from 02/12!

I love Spaceship Earth. Beautiful flowers. Don't feel bad...I forgot to take pictures of several of our snacks too. I think it was the ungodly humid weather this trip and the crowds.

My God, I could not get over the humidity this trip. It was insane. :sad2:

I have some PTR stuff to share with you. I decided not to do a Feb PTR and just put details here.

I made up an itinerary and sent it over to E&B to see what they thought. Those lucky ducks are in Maui for the next 2 weeks (I think) right now, by the way.

Anywhoo, here is what I sent over and it was "approved" by the two of them:

Day 1 - arrival day

Check into Pop (yes, Pop) by 1 p.m
Head to MK
Lunch at Pecos Bills
Adventureland
Parade at 3
Frontierland
Liberty Square
Fantasyland
Dinner at Columbia Harbour
Tomorrowland
MEP
Wishes

Yeah, it's a loaded day. I didn't want to get too specific in rides/attractions, just wanted to have a plan of action so to speak.

Day 2

Breakfast at Kona 7:30 a.m.
Epcot - FW
SSE
Living Seas
Lunch in WS at a CS
WS - as much as we can see
Dinner at Biergarten
Illuminations
EMH that night
TT
M:S
Innoventions

Day 3

Breakfast at Mara at AKL
DAK Day
E&B to set the itin for this day -- they love this park!
I suggested FTBBQ for lunch
I really, really want to see Jammin Jungle and will be happy if I get to
Dinner at Fulton's
DTD at night

Day 4

Breakfast is open
Not sure if E&B are going to DAK again or if they are coming with us to Epcot
If Joe and I do EPCOT, we will do Sunshine for breakfast
Finish what we missed at Epcot
Go to MK at lunch time
CS at MK for lunch
Dinner at Wave with E&B

Day 4 is kind of open. I think it will depend on how much we get done at DAK. E&B really love this park. They were at Disney a few years ago and really fell in love with the park.

Day 5

Early breakfast at Kouzzina - yummy!
Rope drop at DHS
FP for TSMM
Beauty and the Beast show (if it's at 10)
ToT
RnRC
Art of Animation
VOLM
Go back to TSMM if FP time is here
One Man's Dream
Parade
Muppets
Star Wars
Mama Melrose for dinner
Star Wars again
There is no Fantasmic showing during our trip at all. How sucky is that?! :scared1:

Day 6

E&B are taking a flight home at around noon or so. Joe and I are taking the 7 p.m. flight home. Right now our plan is to have breakfast at the Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom. We will spend the morning there and do all of our favorites over again. The last thing we do when leaving MK is Philharmagic. We then go to the Sweet shop and get me a caramel apple with nuts to enjoy on my sofa the night we get home.

We will likely go to DHS or EPCOT after MK as those are the two easiest parks to get out of. We will then head to the airport for our flight back.

So, there you have it. A quick trip to the world in February. SInce the weather is just about perfect for us that time of the year, Joe and I are looking forward to seeing as much as we possibly can without melting like we do in September.

Thoughts? Suggestions on stuff not to miss?

Officially caught up! I double checked that my subscription took this time and yup it sure did:thumbsup2

Your plans sounds so great for your upcoming trip....I'm trying to figure out some way that Jasmine and I can have one more trip before she starts school in September, but I'm not having much luck:headache:

Plans sound great for your trip in February. There is no Fantasmic while we are there either (and Dumbo and Big Thunder Mountain are closed all of Jnauary and February). Have you eaten at Biergarten before?

I have to say I am shocked that the hotel didn't do more for you. When we were there a few years ago and staying at AKL I requested a Savannah room near an elevator. (since my Dad was having problems walking lots)

We got to the room and it was NO WHERE near an elevator, and apparently "Savannah view" really means "pool view" :confused3

I was PISSED. So I called down to the front desk to complain... In my defense, I was spending LOTS of money for a Savannah view! Last thing I wanted to see was tourists in their swimmy suits.:scared1: Not to mention the animals we had outside our rooms were birds. Really loud annoying birds.... (Synndy fact= I am NOT a fan of birds). I was pumped for some giraffes or at least a zebra... no... BIRDS.:headache: I called down to the front desk and the girl I was talking to had me on hold while she found out about switching our room. While on the hold my Dad (who we surprised with the trip) was in awe of the room, he said it was amazing and didn't want to switch. I explained the room would be the same layout, just a better view. He refused and was just SO amazed. When she came back on and offered a switch, I apologized but said we were keeping the room but thanked her for all her help. She apologized again for it being not what we had wanted and all was well.

Fast forward to about 15 minutes later we were almost done unpacking all of our things and in walks some random family. Keys and all. They had just checked in & were told it was their room.... ummm.... Even though it was a 2 bedroom, there was NO way we were sharing, lol

I went down to the front desk and was VERY unhappy (my head was messed up from the plane ride since only one ear popped, I was tired, and the room view sucked.) This was my final straw. I asked to speak with the hotel manager and I explained to him all the things that had happened. He pulled up our reservation info and saw that none of our requests were met. He apologized and offered us a room move. I said no thank you but we were all settled in. He then apologized again and offered us a $200 dollar Disney gift certificate to get dinner or "buy us some good memories"

Needless to say it pacified me and we had free Disney money :woohoo:

I can't imagine what I would have gotten if our door had been open all day. :rolleyes1

It makes me not want to stay at PO.

Also your trip itinerary for your next trip looks awesome. :goodvibes

OMG, I would probably have dropped the dryer and started screaming. :lmao:

If memory serves I did drop it into the sink (no water was inside) Then I unplugged it. I remember thinking great... we are going to be in a room with a burnt wall if it backs up into the wiring. Yup...they had done so little to help us out this trip that I figured we would be stuck in a room with faulty wiring and burned walls.

Your update is great! And Yay for your plans in February!!! How cool you are going back again. :goodvibes

Soehow I missed lots of updates!!! Loved ur cake-looked super yummy!!! I have hair like ur-flat iron in Florida HA. Guys looked very cute in all those pics. I atill cannot believe your door was left open all day:scared1:Gosh I remember how hot it was!! Ack. Hurray for a Feb trip-am sad we will miss u by just a few days....

Great updates, Bethany was a hoot wasn't she, defo liked Dave (for some reason I don't understand  ).

I couldn't believe it when you told me what happened with Mouse Keeping, so shocking and even more so at the attitude of the manager :sad2:

Sounds like you had a good breakfast at Olivia's must try there one day :)

It was fun meeting Chuck and Mary, its a shame we didn't have longer with them, next time for sure :)

Plans look great so far for Feb :thumbsup2

I keep reading positive reviews of Olivia's recently - may have to check it out one day :thumbsup2

Great Epcot and SSE pics - I love your future pic at the end!

Your February plans sound packed but great - oh no on Fantasmic not being shown during your trip. We loved our stay at Pop - hope you guys like it.

You had a great day ........ especially great, since it started with Olivia's. We love it there!

:scared1: I cannot believe Mousekeeping left your door open all day! I would have been cross as well.

Great plans for your February trip! Such a wonderful time to travel. Hope you enjoy it to the fullest, but no Fantasmick sucks! :sad2:

We love Star Wars with the different scenerios. We rode it three times and had a different one each time. My son did the Star War signup so he is hooked on Star Wars now.
I'm jealous of the trip already!! Great TR BTW.

Hello OhioDisneyLover, thought I would sub. I'm enjoying your report and pictures. I can't get over the door being left open, I would have freaked, being the worry-wart that I am! We are thinking about going back to WDW next Sept/Oct and trying POR and now not so sure. I really liked the comphy queen beds at CSR, how were the beds where you stayed?

Catching up after our trip!

Love, love, love your parade pictures!

I can’t believe mousekeeping left the door open!!!! I would have been fuming too!!!

Your February trip plans look great!

I hope you can find a way to squeeze in another trip. :upsidedow

I was so bummed to read that Dumbo and BTMRR are down in Feb when we will be there. Bummer...

We have eaten at Biergarten many times in the past. Joe likes it. I like the atmosphere more than the food I think. I'm looking forward to going with our friends though because I think they will really like it.

I think I needed to have you with me when I talked to the hotel manager. :lmao:

We really did love POFQ. I won't let the one stupid mousekeeper hold us back from returning there.

I can't wait for Feb!

If memory serves I did drop it into the sink (no water was inside) Then I unplugged it. I remember thinking great... we are going to be in a room with a burnt wall if it backs up into the wiring. Thank God there wasn't any water in the sink when you did that!

I can't wait to get back there again!

Hi! I still can't get over the heat in September. I've never experienced so much humidity. I wish my hair went straight in Florida instead of going insane when we're there. :lmao:

I'm bummed that we will miss you guys by just a few days. :sad2:

Great updates, Bethany was a hoot wasn't she, defo liked Dave (for some reason I don't understand  ).

Bethany was a hoot! I wish she didn't disappear so fast. I wanted to get our picture with her.

Olivia's was good. I think we will go back there again.

It would have been great if we were able to spend more time together at Epcot that day.

I can't wait for Feb!

I keep reading positive reviews of Olivia's recently - may have to check it out one day :thumbsup2

You should check out Olivia's when you can. :goodvibes

I am really not pleased that we won't be able to see Fantasmic this trip. I didn't realize this when we booked but I guess there is always next time, right?

We stayed at Pop once for a long weekend a few years ago. I had requested the 50s but we didn't get it. Hoping that we get it this time.

:sad2:

I am glad that we tried Olivia's. We had never been there before.

I do love Florida in February. I am sorry that we will miss you and Tom though. :sad1:

Those peeps were annoying! Bethany did her best to chase them away though.

I hate thinking about the room door thing. It made me so dang mad. :headache:

Getting ready to post about MNSSHP now! Woot!

Day 5

We do love Star Wars and what they have done to the experience. I imagine we will be riding several times this trip!

:welcome:

The beds were nice at POFQ. We did love the work that they have done on all of the rooms. I wouldn't let our mousekeeping experience detour you from trying PO. We had a king room but we were able to see the queen room too (our friends were staying in one).

Catching up after our trip!

Love, love, love your parade pictures!

I can’t believe mousekeeping left the door open!!!! I would have been fuming too!!!

Your February trip plans look great!

Hi! I am going to sub to your TR. I can't wait to read all about your trip!

When I last left you, yeah, I know, it's been forever.......

Anywho, Joe and I had plans to meet Jenn for dinner at CP before MNSSHP. I couldn't wait! First, we went back POFQ for a bit of down time and a lot of laundry!

We quickly met up with Jenn before we made our way to the park. Jenn brought us the awesome shirts that she had made us for the party. We rocked in our shirts that night!!!!

We made our way to MK to meet up with Jenn and her family for dinner at CP. If I remember correctly there were a billion and 50 people waiting to be seated when we got there, Well, maybe not that many but you get my drift.

We had a great table by the window and sort of out of the way, which I liked because it can get crowded in there.

Here are a few pics from dinner.

There was a bit of character hugging going on and let's just say that Piglet had to go back to Hundred Acre Woods and get cleaned up.....apparently he got a bit too close to Jack's hair gel. :rolleyes1

Here is the view from our table of the outside.........

DisneySept20112519.jpg

After we cured the rumbly in our tumblies we left CP and headed for Adventureland. What I can't remember is if we stopped for a Dole Whip. Joe cannot walk past one without stopping!

We made our way over to PotC.

DisneySept20112542.jpg

DisneySept20112540.jpg

We rode PotC first. Here are a couple of totally craptastic pics.

DisneySept2011442.jpg

DisneySept2011448.jpg

Once we left PotC, if memory serves, we started our trick or treat adventure. You would not have believed the lines we saw to meet the 7 dudes while we were trick or treating near Splash.

DisneySept20112566.jpg

And by the way, there were multiple candy stations near Spash! Score! And, they were giving out the good stuff unless you were Joe...then you "got a rock." LOL! He got the craptastic candy so we in took turns laughing at him.

We saw this guy and let me tell ya, he was waaaayyy too close for comfort. I had one chase me down my driveway once but that is a story in itself.

DisneySept20112565.jpg

Here are a couple of pictures of us deciding where the heck to start.

DisneySept20112554.jpg

DisneySept20112560.jpg

continued on next post.........

I think we rode BTMRR before continuing on, but I can't remember exactly.

Next stop was HM and we went through the grave yard for the first time.

After HM we did a bit more trick or treating. Everyone was super thirsty so we stopped in Pinocchios only to find it closed. They were kind enough to let us use the rest room though.

DisneySept2011476.jpg

It took freaking forever to find drinks. What's up with that? Nearly everything closes during MNSSHP and it is next to impossible to find anything to drink.

I have no clue what rides and attractions we did after that but I do remember that the candy adventure continued. I think we all rode Buzz too before finding a spot for Hallowishes. I have a ton of pictres of Hallowishes so I will apologize in advance.
