I'm looking for a small easy to use, but GOOD digital camera. We have a large one with all the bells and whistles....but I don't like using it. I feel like I'm shooting for National Geographic.

I want something for myself, that I can easy carry yet still takes good photos.

Any suggestions?????

I have a Canon A630 and I love it. I especially love the swivel LCD screen (that feature will be hard to give up). I'm currently researching DSLR's but I'd recommend the A630 for a small easy to use camera that does a lot. :thumbsup2

I got my husband the Canon Powershot 700 IS for his birthday in November. I also got him the underwater housing for it. He loved it so much that my best friend bought the same set up and recently took it on her cruise. She loves it and said the underwater housing was simple to use.

You can look up reviews on http://www.cnet.com

We got them through BH Photo who always have wonderful kits. Tomorrow I will be receiving my new camera which is a Canon S3 IS from them!!!

The new line of Fujis have SD slots as well as xD slots. The Fujis should generally take much nicer photos than most of the rest due to a larger sensor.

For example, the new F40fd has a 1/1.6" sensor compared to the 1/2.5" sensor found in most of the Canon SD-series - that's a pretty big difference. If you want to save a few bucks and go with a slightly larger, but still pretty small, camera, the Fuji A820 comes out next month, with the same big CCD retailing for $180.

A buddy of mine has the Fuji F31FD and loves it. He's a professional photographer but loves to tote around this camera for it's size and performance. You can check it out here:
