Hello,
I want to know what anyones small children thought of EE. My DD really wants to ride because one of the kids in her class could not stop talking about it after his vacation. The problem is she is 39 lbs. and exactly 44 inches. She is sop tiny I'm nervous for her to go on this and either fall out or just be scared to death! I'm a really nervous mom and have anxiety just thinking of her riding a big roller coaster. We haven't been to Disney since 2003 and she was 3 then and was only big enough for Barnstormer. So she hasn't even rode BTMRR before. I figured she could ride BTMRR, Soarin, TT and Splash Mtn and that's about it for bigger rides. Any opinions. I"m going to be scared myself on EE so she will have to ride with DH because we have DS2 for his first trip to the world. Thanks in advance.

This is going to be my DD's first time to EE as well and she's about the same size, and did the same thing last trip, Barnstormer. And yep, just as rabid to go on EE this year (she wants to also go on Rockin' Roller Coaster too, but as of right now she's a little too small and that's JUST FINE with me! :rotfl: )

I told her that if she does well on Splash, she can go on BTMRR. If she likes BTMRR, she can go on Space. If she does well on all three, then and ONLY then will I let her on Everest, lol.

Sizewise, I'm sure she'd be just fine, it's just an intense ride. But I think you have the right idea by having her warm up to it on similar rides first.

I might add my 2 cents worth here. If DDs can handle Splash and BTMRR they can handle EE. As for Space Mountain....I found it to be more jerky, I found myself being thrown around even with the restrain.
As for EE I loved it. Smooth ride..not jerky...no fear of falling out. Never once was thrown against the restraining mechanism. It is fast so let DDs know that.

I would let a smaller child ride EE way before SM. SM is a rough ride, and dark. EE is only dark in one quick portion. EE is nice and smooth.

The lap bars are independent from the seat next to you. So a large person can sit next to a small person and both bars will be snug.
You can also sit next to her with your arm across her acting as another seat bealt if that makes you feel she would be safer.

Thanks! I was not going to let DD ride SM. She is so tiny and the seats are not next to each other and yes it is a bit jerky. Although I rode it when I was 6 but I was a bit bigger. She is also afraid of Dinosaur and POC. She just seems to like Rollercoasters. She might change her mind after she sees it!

Just wanted to add that on EE, the seats are next to one another. However, on Space Mountain, the seats go right in a single line. So you will be in front of each other.

Just wanted to add that we just got back about a week ago, and my 5yo son rode EE and LOVED it! He's a bit on the small side, too...they had to have a manager come over to verify he was tall enough...but the lap bar went right to his legs and he was pretty snug in there! Have a great trip!
