My daughter is having a slumber party this friday night with about 6 girls staying the night. I need help on things to do with them

Only thing I have plans for is to paint their nails.. kinda a spa treatment with the foot bath then painting.

I did buy some cute plastic popcorn holders for the movie i bought her too

I need to know what you have done with sleepovers that was fun for the girls

Make your own pizzas/sundaes, decorate pilowcases - the most important thing to remember is to have a definite, early (no later than 10) pickup time!

For my daughters party I had them all decorate chocolate houses that they could then take home. I had a local chocolate company make the houses and then bought all sorts of things to decorate them with, they had a blast with that!
Make sure you don't have anything to do the next day because I don't think my daughter has ever gotten more than 2 hours of sleep at any sleepover she has been to or had- last one at her friends house they didn't fall asleep until 8am!!

I was also going to suggest make-your own pizzas and tie-dying pillowcases. We didn't do the make-your own sundeas because when DD had her big slumber b-day party - we had an ice-cream cake!

The pizzas take a nice chunk of time!

I would also have a pre-determined quiet time, and a pre-determined lights out time...if only for your sanity! Make sure that your DD understands this in advance! Also - make sure that if you have any other rules...like only eating/drinking in the kitchen, that the girls know this in advance, i.e. when the parents drop off the girls.

Good advice about the pick-up times too!

Another vote for an early pick-up time. At least a couple of the girls won't be getting along by the morning;)

Smores always go over big, if you don't mind the sugar rush.

When I had sleepovers at that age, my mom and I always planned a craft of some sort. One year we bough bears (a little smaller than build a bear) and felt, ribbon, lace little straw hats, sequins, etc. We all made little costumes for the bears, decorated hats, etc. Soooo fun! Another year we made bows...I can't remember what else.

One year we also did make your own pizzas. I think we used individual sized bobolis, and everyone put their own toppings on.

Believe me my DD will be the first to sleep. I think I will have them make english muffin pizzas since they can make their own pizzas with toppings.

What about gift bags or fun games. We have a downstairs playroom so I was thinking about getting out the x-mas lights that have the 8 differnent light things and let them listen to music and dance.

Since Halloween is coming up, you could do some very easy crafts with them. EX: Lollipop ghosts using tissue and a ribbon.

Also, you could make some spook-tacular rice krispie treats and make them into pumpkins using orange food dye, tootsie rolls for the stem, and roll them in a ball so it is in the shape of a pumpkin.

8 year olds can easily entertain themselves so I don't think you need to go that far out of your way in the planning dept.

Have fun!!!

The game "Twister" is fun. Do you have a karioke (sp?) machine, kids at that age love to sing?

I am getting her a karaoke machine for X-mas. Would have been perfect for this party but oh well.
Rice crispies treats sound great and also smores. I think I have a smore machine in the basement that I never used.
This "theme" is as she calls it a glam party..that is why she wants the nail polish and she got necklaces, rings, cool sunglasses for gift bag stuff. I have gotten about 6 shades of colors for nails and are gonna get some cool stickers for the nails.
I bought her the Hannah Montana Movie for her birthday and she is getting the new LIV doll and some clothes for it too.

I will have them to bed early enough as I am sleeping on the couch in the living room while they sleep on the floor on extra sleeping bags and egg crates.

DD10 recently had her first sleepover party. We ordered pizza for dinner, then the kids (6 girls, including DD) went outside to play tag for a while, which was a good way for them to burn off some energy. When they came in, they decorated pillow cases. After that, they frosted and decorated cupcakes that I had made ahead of time. After the cupcakes, ice cream, etc., they watched a movie while we painted their nails. They had some chips and popcorn during the movie as well. They were in pj's at 10:00, in their sleeping bags by 11:00, and asleep by 12:30, which I thought was pretty good (I was expecting them to stay up much later). Honestly, even if they didn't do anything but eat a little junk food and watch a movie, they would have had fun. DD & her friends just seem to love to hang out and chat. :)

if this is her first sleepover then you might want to have the girls sign and decorate a pillowcase for her... something to have to commemorate the night! To put in a trunk to look at when she is in her 30's ( I speak from experience of about 3 days ago ;) ) Sharpies and some scotch guard and she will have it forever!!!!! You seem to have a good idea of what to do with them! Your daughter sounds adorable with the "Glam" theme!!!!

White pillow cases work the best.... or they do make ones for kids to sign but that might be hard to find this short notice. Get a bunch of sharpies in all colors or even puffy paint or glitter paint in the tubes. You could write her name all pretty like in the middle with the date underneath or not and then let the little girlie girls go crazy decorating!!! Signing their names and doodling and stuff like that! (thats why i like sharpies for them to use and paint for you to write her name) Little girls (and big ones lol) love to decorate and such and this would be such a cute thing for her to have over the years!!!
