Slowest week of the year?

There are 3 times of the year that are "slow". When I say slow, I mean that I can walk onto rides and the longest wait is 20-30 mins.

The last week of April, the last week of August/first week of October, and the week before Thanksgiving. We do try to avoid going on weekends though so that makes a difference in crowd levels.

we went the last week of April one year when it coincided with the Patriots holiday that a lot of New England schools get off and it was BUSY! Touring plans rated one of the days a *10* after the fact. So that week may be low crowds sometimes, but you need to be careful with it.

We've gone at different times throughout the year and NOVEMBER is the best time for us. We typically go the week after Jersery Week, but before Thanksgiving and absolutely love it. Never had to wait in any lines, weather was terrific and Christmas decor was up. Got to attend the Christmas Party and also see Osbourne lights. Truly wonderful and will probably continue to go back during this time.
:santa:

IMO, the best time to go is September - especially the week after Labor Day - it's SOOO wonderful crowds wise (although hot and humid)

Very nice site.

However, I dont really agree with some of it. It ranks Jan and the first half of February as the worst time to go. I loved that time of year! It is cool, no humidity and you are practically alone in the park. Yes there were closures but as you know you cant do everything anyway. oh yeah and lots of promotions!

we had lunch at Askerhus one day and it was just us and 2 other families. I think it is worth a closure.

So I think the best/worst times are really subjective.

I agree with it being subjective.
And that jan can be a great time to go. We've gone then several times.

That said, the creator of the site is here on the boards some times
(don't remember the id name)
but I've asked him how he determined ranking one week over another.
And he said as stated on the site, it takes in variety of factors not just crowds.
Including weather, and Jan weather can be horrible. it's very possible to walk around most the day in 30's degree temps most the day.
ride closures, and jan is always big on that.
park hours, jan parks do close early.
among others.
So I would guess factoring in those and others why they are ranked that way.
