Curbside pickup is such a convenient way to do shopping. Some people use it a lot and some people don’t use it at all. A small amount of stores had this before 2020, but when COVID happened, curbside pickup became normal for many stores. For those that don’t know what curbside pickup is, here ya go……

Now that we read about that, let’s find out how popular curbside pickup is with our DIS friends….

Have you ever used curbside pickup?
If yes…..How often do you use it?
Do you use it for convenience or because you want to protect yourself from sickness?
(multiple choice)

For Me……I only use curbside pickup at Sam’s Club because they stopped their in store pickup. I used to love being able to have my DH pull up, I’d jump out of the car, pickup our order and we’d go. Now we have to park and wait for our order, which goes quick if I’m picking up the order at night or an off time. The workers work really hard and I often feel guilty, because I’m capable of getting my own order. I do the curbside pickup there because it 100% prevents me from doing any impulse buying, which is easy to do at Sam’s Club. If I spend $50, then I’m not charged a pickup fee. So I place an order when I need a few things and when my DH needs to fill up his truck with gas, since the gas price there is always the best. We approximately do this once a month. At other stores I will place online orders, to make sure I get what I need (especially if it’s a gift), and then I’ll go inside and pickup my order.

I have used it at my favorite store Target to keep myself from buying all the extra things that I do not need that I see when I go in the store this way I just get what I need and I don’t see all the nice nifty things they have then I don’t need to be buying but then they offered me a deal on home delivery which is even better because then they just bring it to my house 🏠 so now I don’t have to drive up to the store which is literally a mile from my house it’s too dangerous living in this close to a Target 🎯 but I don’t have to do curbside anymore I just have them deliver it to me I really should start doing this with Costco because it’s really dangerous walking in that store I have yet to stick to my list in that store🤣🤣🤣

I've never used curbside pickup. But I would consider using it if I was unable to go into a store due to illness or mobility issues.

I’ve been doing pickup for about 15 years (and will today). It saves me a ton on impulse buys, it’s easy to compare prices, and it’s easy to get everything I need for recipes. For Costco I send my husband with a list that he sticks to

Only used it during Covid.

Now never even think about it anymore.

I use it weekly, and have for probably 10+ years, mainly for convenience. But I also like that it reduces the chances of being in a mass shooting situation ... a few grocery stores have had that happen, so it's nice to avoid that when I can. I use it for the weekly groceries that are mainly pantry staples, dairy, frozen, packaged foods. For produce, seafood, meats, I go to a different store, as soon as they open in the morning to avoid crowds, or occasionally a farmer's market or local produce stand.

We tend to call this click and collect drive thru over here, or something similar. I've used it in the past and maybe use it occasionally but not often. I never really use it for grocery shops, it's more for takeaway or fast food pick ups like McDonalds, Starbucks etc to avoid having to queue inside or in the normal drive thru lanes.

I use it nearly every week. I started trying it out during Covid and realized the convenience of it -it's a big time saver for me. I usually use it at Walmart or Target, and I do in store shopping at my local market for fruits/veggies/meats. I start an order a few days in advance and continue to add things I forgot or pop up up till the pickup time. Works great for me....

I like curbside pickup for the convenience. There are just some weeks where I simply lack the time to go aisle by aisle for my groceries. I also spend less by not going in the store since there's little to no impulse or hunger buying. That being said, I don't do it all of the time and for the following reasons...

1. While HEB is king here, Kroger is my fave for groceries. Unfortunately, I've found that many of the things I need show up as "in store only" on the Kroger app. It makes it nearly impossible to routinely utilize this service when your common grocery needs require you to set foot in the store.
2. Kroger has lots of manager markdowns which you will only find if you're shopping in store. So, I miss out on a lot of good sales if I rely strictly on curbside/app.

I will say that it's so much easier to utilize digital coupons when doing a curbside order. I don't have to browse the coupons ahead like I would if I shopped in store. They just show up with things I plan to buy. It's unfortunate they don't just link it like this when you shop in store and apply your shopper discount card. Like just remove the step and automatically give me the best coupon price if I'm buying the product and applying my card to the purchase.

I used it a few times during Covid, but not anymore. As I’m retired I have time to shop, and I enjoy it. And I prefer to choose my own produce. I would go back to using the service if my health declined though.

That’s the thing COVID did for us! We use curbside pickup and delivery all the time. I am not a shopper. I don’t care for it and would rather spend my time doing anything else. We joined Walmart+ and get free delivery and pickup. The membership also gives us ParamountPlus and some other discounts.

No curbside pick up for me. I love grocery shopping, and I prefer to pick out my own meat and produce. The only time I have used grocery delivery is when we are at Disney World without a rental car.

I use curbside pick up sometimes. It really depends what I need. I prefer to pick my own produce and often decide what to buy by how it looks. I use it for pet supplies, and pantry staples.

I used curbside pickup about a dozen times during covid, but I prefer to do my own shopping. I actually enjoy it.

Yes, I get my groceries regularly with curbside pickup. The shoppers generally do a very good job of shopping my order, including veg and meat.
