Who takes your vehicle (the one you drive) to get the oil changed?

For Me……I always take my mini van.
I‘m taking it to the Toyota dealership in about an hour (I like getting there before they open so I can be one of the first cars in 🙂👍🏻)

I usually do my own, and he does his and our "extra car" that the kids drive. (I am sure that he would take mine if I asked him to, but he hasn't offered.)

I always take mine myself for oil changes, and if it's something mechanical or warranty work DH will take it. I also try to schedule for their first service appointment in the mornings so I don't have to wait long.

DH does it. Back in the good old days when we actually went to the office, etc. DH's office is near the Volkswagen dealership. He'd toss his folding bike in the backseat of my Passat or his Golf, drop the vehicle off for the maintenance appointment and then ride his bike to the office. Reverse the process in the evening.

Edit: For the Dodge Ram pickup, DH just takes it to the local lube shop on a random Saturday. Much less planning needed for that one.

It was me of course when it was just me no problem. When we got married he does all that . He likes looking at the new cars and waiting for it to be done.

We can’t just show up for oil changes at our Toyota place have to make an appointment.

Other: Me & DH always go together to drop off the vehicle needing the oil change and immediately leave in the vehicle that doesn’t. DH handles all the conversations & work in regards to our vehicles. I handle making all the appointments and finances for the routine maintenance and repairs for the vehicles.

I usually take mine. Sometimes DH takes his own, sometimes I take it if he's busy with work.

We don’t take our cars anywhere for oil changes, dh does them in our garage.

I was waiting to get his car inspected the other day and its $95 for an oil change- full synthetic. We have multiple vehicles so doing it home saves $100s of dollars

I have a company car, and the Facility Manager just got a shiny new lift in the shop, so the mechanic or he changes my oil.
Facility Manager is also my husband, so I answered husband :lmao:

Before that I dropped it off at a local garage.

I’ve always taken my car for oil changes. I supposedly have free oil changes for the life of my 2014 car, but a few years ago I started going to an Express Lube place. No appointments needed, no waiting around unless it’s crowded (I just come back another time), in and out in 15 minutes.

If I’m having other maintenance performed at the dealer, yes, they still do the oil change without charge. (Unless they jack up the price of the other services to cover it.)
