Do you know what day it is today? It’s 626 Day :stitch2:
In honor of this day, that’s dedicated to our favorite alien, let’s talk about one of his favorite activities, which is surfing. Like some of you, Stitch loves to surf. I’m sure that many of us have never tried to surf (me being one of them), because of a variety of reasons. So let’s get surfing and tell us today…….

Have you ever, in your life, gone surfing?
If yes…..when?
(multiple choice)

For Me…….No surfing for me. My parents never took us vacationing by oceans for me to try it (that is not a complaint - they took us on great vacations, just not by oceans) By the time I started going to Florida with my DH, the desire to learn wasn’t there. Looking back now, I wish I would have come out of my comfort zone and tried it. I’m not sure if I would have liked it or not, but at least I could say I tried.

Yes, I have been surfing, on the southern coast of Maine, where the waves are usually almost non-existent, hahaha. It was a big deal to hang out with the surfers when I was in high school (1072-1974) and as that's where the boys were, that's where I was!
I was a bride 32 years ago on 626 day (although we didn't know about Stitch at the time).

I can’t swim so I’m not about to try to go surfing🤣🤣🤣
I do like watching them do it on TV though it’s amazing I also enjoy watching dogs do it
Happy 626 day !!!

Never have. Most of the beaches I go to are in Florida or the Caribbean and most don't have waves. I have been to the beaches in California and if getting knocked over in a raft and tumbling around then sliding in on my stomach counts, then I've been surfing.

I have never gone proper surfing, though I have used a boogie board in the ocean. I always wanted to try it though. They used to do surfing lessons early morning at Typhoon Lagoon, but I never booked it.

Tons of surfing in my 20’s and 30’s. Grew up near the OC beaches and then in my 20’s lived in an oceanfront apt. What a great time. Before or after class/work, I’d just paddle out to sit and commune with the rocking of the ocean. Beautiful!

Never a surf board, but plenty of serious boogie boarding -love the power of ocean waves.

Surfed once - although there was very little time actually spent on my feet on the board. :rotfl2: We took our boys to Maui in 2019 and did a family surfing lesson in Lahaina. The boys did pretty good - my wife and I managed and did get up a couple times, but were not great at it.

Never been surfing and never would. Ive got terrible balance normally so I can't imagine how horrendous I'd be on a board. Plus I'm not a strong swimmer so deep water and tides etc scare me.

Never have tried surfing. As kids we did body surfing, and I continued that later on too. When my kids were young boogie boards were popular, oh and skimboards. I only ever used the boogie boards though.
