I always have some cash in my wallet. The lady who does my manicure/pedicure asked if I can pay in cash (that was during Covid, but I still do to this day), so I try to have 100 on hand when I go to see her. I typically take out about 200 from the ATM at a time and then use some for mani/pedi and other small purchases.

I usually have some cash with me, except when doing something/going somewhere it won’t be needed. But I carry a lot less cash than I used to, and it’s not in a wallet, just folded in half in a pocket. I try to keep the bills facing the same direction, with the larger denominations on the outside.

We have probably $400-$500 in cash around the house at any given time (our cleaning people, for example, take cash), but since the OP was only talking cash in your wallet, I only considered money I carry along with me in the discussion.

I don't, except to transport it from the bank home.

I have worked in 3 different retail cash offices years ago & money was always faced the same way & smoothed out, lol (no folded over corners, etc.)
I don't carry much cash most of the time. Altho right now I have almost a couple hundred in my purse. Some is left over from vacation a couple weeks ago.
My boss owns the building I work in & there are 2 other businesses there that rent from him so he gives me $20 each for collecting their rent, that is where most of my cash comes from.

I should add, we are taking a 14 day Princess Land/Sea tour in the fall. Adding up the cash I will need just to cover suggested tips for the tours I will be taking adds up to nearly $400. No other option for these other than cash. Our schedule is tight, so not sure I will have time to find an ATM to get cash mid=trip.
And two of the tours are in Canada. Until recently tour guides would gladly take a tip in U.S. dollars, not sure today. I have plenty of Canadian currency to cover those tips.....EXCEPT......it is all in $1 and $5 paper currency which is no longer legal tender in Canada.

$1, $2 coins which are much more cumbersome to travel with than paper currency. I can order Canadian currency from my bank, but only paper currency. I hope I can get $5 bills, but not sure the bank can honor my request for specific denominations.

Yes, I know. The problem is getting them from my bank in the U.S. I can request them, but the bank does not guarantee that if I request $50 in $5 dollar bills that they can honor that.

Sorry, misspoke on the $5 bills but only have one of those. I have $45 in $1 and $2 Canadian bills which are no longer legal tender and not sure I will have time to go to a bank in Canada to exchange them and U.S. banks won't exchange them because they are no longer legal tender.

Some of those $1 and $2 can be worth money . I have a $2 bill that is worth $20 that I’m holding on to. Can’t remember the number on it that makes it worth something. My mom saved coins and bills that are old. Got it when she died.

I always have cash in my wallet. A few 1's, 5's, 10's, and 20's. It's a folding wallet so the 1's are on the inside. Now, that being said, I RARELY carry my wallet. When driving around town, I take my DL, AAA card, and a credit card with me. When I walk to the farmer's market on Saturday I take some cash in case their CC process machine is down. When I travel longer distances out of town is when I have a wallet with some cash.

Here's a tangent - DH is a scuba diver and takes US $20's for tips for the dive boat hands on his travels. I stopped at the ATM last week and got out $500 in 20's. Unfortunately, the ATM money all had black ink on it. That is a problem for many of the countries he visits, so I went back when the bank was open and asked for clean bills. The teller was from Ethiopia and understood why I was asking.

Almost every tour we have taken in the past few years have displayed QR codes for Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, etc throughout the tour or at the end of the tour.

LOL. None for me as I have none of those.
EDIT: And my son is in computer IT and has told my wife and I to NEVER EVER EVER use a QR code.

I never seem to have cash, but if I did I would have everything faced, and organized by denomination going least to most.
