Must be pretty popular because some fast food places will give you any dipping sauce you want for free, but they charge extra for Ranch.
LOL. Not 1940's to me, very 2021 to me. Everything costs extra now. There might still be a few places clinging to their 1940’s menus that still charge extra.

Thanks. My mom used them decades ago and I haven’t had it in over 30 years. Might try it again.
I actually started making my own ranch dressing a few months ago to control the sodium. So simple and tasty and much better for you than store bought.
3/4 cup Mayo (I use Hellman’s with Olive Oil)Would you care to share your recipe?
3/4 cup Mayo (I use Hellman’s with Olive Oil)
1/2 cup sour cream (I use regular sour cream because I find that reduced or fat free tend to eventually water it down. I’ve also made it using a full cup of the olive oil Mayo and just a 1/4 cup of sour cream)
1/2 tsp dried chives
1/2 tsp dill weed
1/2 tsp dried parsley flakes
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp pepper
Pinch of salt
