Sorry for the late trip report as I've been on the fence about doing one of these since I've never done one. But I figured after seeing other posters' trip reports that I'd try it. So here goes.

Hello everyone and welcome to my February 2025 Trip Report. I say my because it was only me. It was my first solo trip. In our previous 13 trips, DW and I had always gone together. But I sent her on a cruise with the church choir, so I decided to call up my niece and fly down to see her. DN and her boyfriend were both in the DCP at the time, so I decided to join them. So, let’s get started with introductions and overview of the trip.

Who’s going?
Me!

I’m a 49-year-old Disney success story. For years and years, I wanted nothing to do with Disney because I don’t like roller coasters. DW wanted to go on our honeymoon, and I said no. She kept asking each year after, and I continually said no. Finally, we were having dinner with friends in late 2012, and I told DW to go ahead and book a trip if she’d let me visit all of the MLB baseball parks. Our friend worked for Kingdom Magic Vacations at the time, so we booked our first trip that night and made our down payment. We’ve been 13 times since then; however, we’ve never visited any of the MLB parks. So, I think it’s safe to say I’m a success story.

DN and DN’s boyfriend (DNBF)
Both are part of the DCP, so I guess technically they’re not going. But they are hosting me for this trip. DN is a 20-something year old that worked at Disney while waiting on the start of law school. She loves Disney and would go routinely with the family for which she used to babysit. DNBF was also part of the DCP. He and DN went to college together and played in the band together. They both started law school in August 2025. Prior to applying for the DCP, DNBF had never been to Disney.

When and how?
DN and DNBF worked down there, and I was flying down from DFW. The trip was from February 15-18 while DW was on her cruise. The plan was to fly in on Saturday morning (15th), spend the day at Disney Springs and go to the parks on Sunday and Monday. I was using a park hopper ticket from DN, and they were using their employee passes. DN was off both days, while DNBF was off Sunday and had to work until 2 p.m. Monday. He was going to join us at the parks after. I was set to fly home Tuesday. Our plan was to do all four parks on Sunday (16th) and then just do MK on Monday (the 17th).

Where am I staying?
I decided on this trip to stay at All Star Movies. I love the All Stars since I’m only there for a little while each day, especially on a shorter trip like this one. Plus, and I’m probably odd in this way, value resorts just kind of scream Disney to me. It’s where we’ve stayed most of our trips. We did stay at Wilderness Lodge one night on a previous trip, and we stayed at Coronado Springs on another trip. Other than that, we’re value resort people. The resort pool was down as they were working on it, but I don't typically utilize the pool anyways. I took the Mears bus from OIA, and DN had her car down there.

Next up:
Going round and round at OIA.
