What ripeness level do you like your banana to be when you eat it?

For Me....slightly green
I will eat the banana that is fully yellow and even when it’s going slightly brown (I’m not going to throw them away), but I would never pick those types over slightly green.
If my bananas get to brown, and I have time, then they turn into muffins.

Slightly green is best... full yellow is OK. When the peel won't come off easily they're not ripe enough. If the "strings" don't come off easily, they're too ripe.

I didn't know they made yellow bananas any more as all that's in the grocery stores are this color --> :tilt:

slightly green to yellow but not turning brown. I don't like them at all mushy.
We just them slightly brown in smoothies and if they go farther (and they really turn fast here), they go into bread or muffins

Just ripe enough to get the peel off - still a little starchy rather than soft and overly sweet. Can’t even stand the smell l when they start to go brown let alone eat them. And am I the only one who has noticed how fast bananas ripen/over-ripen these days? I swear they didn’t used to do that.

Another one that prefers slightly green but will eat yellow. I am actually not a big fan of bananas, so many other types of fruit I’d rather eat. DH and 2 of my girls like them a lot though.

I buy a bunch yellow with green stripes and eat one immediately.
The rest go into the freezer for smoothie use since they’ll turn brown anyway.

Yellow with some little brown spots for eating. From time to time I buy bananas that are already turning brown and let them go a little further than that for banana bread. Overripe ones are best for that.

I'd say pure yellow is optimum, but I can go either way from slightly green to slightly brown (spots).
