I mean...I own an iron? Don't remember last time I even plugged it in lol
She'll probably work in a hospital setting.Where does she plan to work that OT's wear scrubs all day? Maybe in a hospital setting, but not around here. I've had reason to interact with many different OT's over the years and I can't think of a single one who wore scrubs -- not even the OT who met with DH (and I) in post-op after shoulder replacement surgery. They all wear regular street clothes.
I don't tumble dry much either (mainly underwear and towels). As I take clothes out of the washing machine, I give them a shake/snap; lightly follow the 'reshape whilst damp' rule and then they dry on hangers on a laundry maid. It works for most clothes.I just don't know how you all have such wrinkle free clothes. I even by "wrinkle free" shirts and they are wrinkled.
I wash most of my stuff in cold water and everything is hung to dry. When I pull it out of the washer, it is visible wrinkled. Very few things do I put in the dryer, but crummy sweats, underwear, socks, any PJs are in the dryer. I even air dry many T-shirts so they don't fade and look bad (and they last me a LONG time that way), but everything is pretty much a wrinkled mess.
he trick with a steamer is to spray starch on the clothes as they come out of the washer. I hang them up and let them dry. Then I steam them after they are dry. The steam will take out the wrinkles and the starch helps them stay wrinkle free and have some body. When I used to just steam the clothes with no starch, they didn't have enough body and would wrinkle again when worn.
