What’s your opinion of Rye bread?
If you are a fan of Rye bread....do you like it with seeds or no seeds?
(multiple choice)

For Me.....I find it edible.
If it’s the only bread in the house, I’ll make a sandwich with it.
My DH loves it, so we have it in the house a lot.

I don't like it.

I've had it a few times as part of an appetizer (loaded with other good stuff) where it wasn't terrible. But I would never choose to eat it plain or as part of a sandwich. Nobody in my family prefers it so we never buy rye.

Love it toasted with peanut butter or untoasted with ham, swiss and dijon mustard. It's kinda a staple in our house. Always with seeds. It goes nicely with traditional Slovak foods too..... Especially holubky.

I don't buy it, but most pastrami and corned beef sandwichs sold here are made on rye bread, which is fine. I just have never bought a loaf of rye bread.

Can’t stand it or pumpernickel. Even the smell bothers me. I’m not sure what it is. It’s not like it tastes awful but I just have this adverse reaction to both like I can’t get the taste or smell to go away for days. If I get a Rueben or pastrami I order it with sourdough and of course get looked at like I have two heads.

I voted no seeds, however, only like rye bread toasted with butter. I do not like sandwiches made with rye bread except for a corned beef special. However, I rarely eat corned beef. DH loves rye bread, with seeds and loves sandwiches made with rye bread.

It’s OK - I’ll eat it if it’s offered but I never buy it. I prefer a nice dark pumpernickel if I’m putting on a spread where I want to lay out a nice variety of breads. I do like the taste of caraway seeds though so that’s not a problem.

Love it, with or without seeds. Eat it all the time. Best is a fresh loaf from a bakery (not supermarket). Sometimes we get everything rye, which in addition to the usual caraway seeds, has poppy, sesame, and sunflower seeds. Also love rye bagels (from a NY bagel shop). :thumbsup2

Every once in awhile I crave a salami sandwich with muenster cheese on rye bread.... yum. Usually after we've bought rye bread to go with corned beef(my mom is a big fan). I'd rather have the salami than the corned beef.

I like it. I don't really care if it has seeds, but usually buy it without. I don't buy a loaf often, maybe twice a year and usully when I'm making corned beef or patty melts. I also make hanky pankies occasionally with either the mini pumpernickel or rye breads. I also like the swirled pumpernickle/rye bread sold by Pepperidge Farm.

I grew up on rye bread and ate it way more often than white bread or any other types. My parents always bought it with caraway seeds, please, unsliced, from Bukowski’s Bakery on Tioga Street. They’ve long since closed down.

Now I buy from the supermarket bread aisle, still with seeds but pre-sliced. My favorite brand is Pechter’s when available.

Either with or without does not matter usually only have it with some type of deli sandwich liked corned beef every now and then.
