This is the last Friday of 2023 - I just can’t wrap my mind around it. This year has not been boring for us - we’ve had a whole gamut of things happen - joys, scares, shocks and joys again. We have so much to be grateful for and we are truly blessed. This time of year I do reflect on what I would like to do to make the next year better for myself or others. I’ve had many resolutions that I’ve kept (some for many years now) and others that have been a bust (they didn’t last very long) So I’m asking you on this final Friday of 2023….

For Me…..Yes - I do make a New Years Resolution every year. This year my resolution is to volunteer more at my church. This will be good for me, because I enjoy meeting & getting to know people (I’m a very social person) and good for others because I’ll be helping our church and those that already volunteer.

We’ve been working on this too. I cleared my old file cabinet so we can finally get rid of it.I assumed I kept important papers. While we did find a handful of useful documents it was 99.9% full of old cards and paid bills from 1992-2007 when I switched to online banking. I could have a bonfire.

I've never seen the point of New Years resolutions as I don't think I'd keep them. Plans in 2024? Too many to list here. I just hope it's better than 2023.

I don’t make them. I did see something cute online about doing “ins and outs” instead of resolutions. So, an “in” could be like “workout 30 min 5 days/week” & an “out” could something along the lines of “eat less processed foods”.
