Halloween is coming fast - like a freight train.
Lots of Halloween parties will be happening this weekend.
So…..

Are you hosting or going to a Halloween party this year?
Are you wearing a costume? (if yes, please post what your costume is)
(multiple choice)

*Due to not enough coffee when I made this, I left out - Not going to a party. Sorry everyone - please vote “other” if you’re not hosting or going to a party this year

For Me……My neighbor always has a small party on Halloween - they’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember. We don’t dress up - it‘s a fun get together after trick or treating ends. Most of the girls on our tiny block are either at college or too old to trick or treat now, but my neighbor (the host) still has a fifth grader that still goes trick or treating. If DD20 was home, she’d walk with the fifth grader so her mom could stay home. The 7 girls on our street have known each other their entire lives - their relationship is like cousins.

I had to vote Other because I'm not going to any parties, but everyone else in my household is. My cousin and his wife are hosting a party tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) and then tomorrow night is the annual party at the VFW post near my house. I'm not big on parties.

No party. We’ll hand out candy on Tuesday evening. DD plans to wear a costume to do that. I just have a cute sweatshirt with jack-o-lanterns on it but no costume.

Poll needs an option for No.

No costume, no party. I will be handing out treats to children on Tuesday.

I am going to one at my mom's hours, and that is to say I am kinda hosting too as I always help and it's a ton of work. It should be fun though. I got an inexpensive Jedi costume to pair with my new Galaxy's Edge lightsaber.

Well, it is a Halloween celebration, I guess a party of sorts. Just the family.
DH has a meeting, DIL has friends from out of country over their house, so it will just be 5 of us.
There will be Halloween buckets for the 4 of them with goodies and candy.
I will make (or try ) .We'll see how they come out.

Halloween we sit out front and hand out treats. We usually get about 100 kids

I am invited to a “Witchy Wine Tasting” on Sunday afternoon. Invitation says if you don’t have a witch costume, just wear black and a witch‘s hat. So, that’s what I am doing. Going with a friend and she and I spent Saturday afternoon shopping for hats. So much fun. We each bought very cool witch hats and I bought some black lipstick. I will probably wear some heavy eye makeup that day, too. Anyway, it sounds like fun. I love my hat. 😁🧙‍♀️

We're going to a party tomorrow night. We've worn costumes in the past, but this time, I think I may just get a themed headband or bow. I'm just not up for dressing up right now. We always pass out candy on Halloween. Yard isn't as heavily decorated this year due to lawn issues, but I'll put out my traditional table and themed music on Tuesday night.

I also need to come up with a fun dish for the food contest. Last time, I made berry cinnamon roll "intestines" and a dish I call "yummy mummy." It a cheese, ham, and spinach mixture formed into the shape of a body and then covered in in a bandage approach with puff pastry and phyllo. DD14s bday is coming up and I usually make a custom cake, so I'm not feeling the baking spirit for this party, but I also don't want to repeat dishes of the past. Sooooo, I need to get creative in the next 24 hours. I'm sort of feeling an eyeball theme, but that's all I've got so far.

I mean, isn't wearing black and a witch's hat actually a witch costume? Unless you just go around wearing that hat everyday.... 😁

Other- no parties for us, never really have. Not sure I've ever been to a real halloween party w/ costumes, etc. Used to go to one of DS's friends house for a get together on Halloween night, a few snacks, they always did a lot of decorations, etc. but we'll probably just be at home giving out candy. We aren't a very big neighborhood, and houses are set way back from the road, so not a whole lot of traffic, but we do usually get a few. Love Halloween time> hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween!!

I would normally wear a costume, but I'm out of town and took Spirit to get here, so no room for one. Might run and grab something cheap on the way over.
