I am invited to a “Witchy Wine Tasting” on Sunday afternoon. Invitation says if you don’t have a witch costume, just wear black and a witch‘s hat. So, that’s what I am doing. Going with a friend and she and I spent Saturday afternoon shopping for hats. So much fun. We each bought very cool witch hats and I bought some black lipstick. I will probably wear some heavy eye makeup that day, too. Anyway, it sounds like fun. I love my hat. 😁🧙‍♀️
That sounds like so much fun! Enjoy! :)

The pull of the Halloween party has long passed us by in this season of life - not to suggest that we are anti-Halloween party - it’s just not something we do these days more or less because of lack of interest …

Never been to an adult Halloween party. I don't know of anyone who has ever had one. Seems like everyone with small children is busy either walking around their neighborhood or handing out candy on Halloween. A few secretaries where I work might decorate their desk, but never seen anyone wear a costume to work.

Maybe 1/3 of the houses in our neighborhood hand out candy. Just doesn't seem that big of a deal anymore. If you have older children, they view it as an activity for small children they have outgrown. Years when the weather is cold/rain/snow/ice you also get fewer who are interested in walking around.

No parties, no costume. We don't get trick or treaters, either (I live in the woods on a hill, any kids around find a nice neighborhood to trick or treat in because it's not worth the effort here).

Haven’t been to a Halloween party in a long time. Every Halloween I sit in front of my house with my neighbors on both sides. We have wine or other drinks. That’s about as close to a party I’ll get to.

We dont do anything. I'm a bad mom and bribe my child not to go trick or treating. She doesn't like most candy so she'd rather get $20 bucks to do/get what she wants. Cheaper than costumes and buying candy. Win win! Lol

I went to one at a DISer friend's house a few years back (husband was out of town) but that was the first one in years probably since college days.

Work related ones have occurred on and off. Last week went to husband's work one a good amount of adults dressed up all the kids however were.

Tomorrow is our HOA's quasi one..well they have pumpkin carving/decorating and this year a petting zoo I'm not sure if they had that in the past but if your kid has a costume they can't wear one when around the animals (understandable). I'm not sure if they've got a food truck but they do have some food/drink being provided.

Normally on Halloween we're handing out candy and watching a movie

When we used to winter at our vacation home in Florida there was a steady flow of small children in costume and we were happy to hand out sweets.
We would stop at 7pm and turn off our outside lights.

Here in the UK we completely ignore it and view it as a trashy import. We have Bonfire night on November 5th that celebrates the foiling of a Catholic plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605. It is mainly an occasion for public fireworks displays although some families still have a bonfire and fireworks at home.

I’ll wear a Halloween themed shirt to work on Tuesday and there is a grab and go potluck as well.

After work I’ll have a party for one. Pizza, a beer, a Reeces Peanut Butter Cup and Five Nights at Freddie's on Peacock.

Not an actual party but I'm pretty sure there will be some kids trick or treating around the campground I'm at. I won't do anything more than handing out some candy.

The only Halloween party I attended this year was Mickey’s. I dressed in Halloween themed clothes, but not a costume. My sister dressed as Ursula (she had the costume from a few years ago for her party at work) and my BIL wore Halloween themed clothes like I did. I would have considered a costume but we went early enough in the season that it was still far too hot.

I haven’t attended a private Halloween party since I was in my twenties.

No parties or costumes for us. We typically hand out candy, but the weather is turning cold on Halloween. We’ll probably set out a big bucket of treats on the porch and let “em have at it. Opening the door every few minutes seems like a bad idea

Man, the last Halloween Party I went to was the one we had in 1983 at our house. Adult Halloween parties just aren't a big thing I guess among our group of friends. And ours was also a house warming party as we had moved into our house a few months before.

I'm trying to think if I've ever attended a Halloween party....I don't think so!

We don't get trick or treaters and I don't decorate - no problem w/ the Holiday it's just not a big one for us.

Halloween we sit out front and hand out treats. We usually get about 100 kids
That's us too, but more like 60 kids.

We started sitting out on porch after knees started saying, I'm not getting up 40 times tonight.

Last year it was drizzly rain. We sat in garage with the door open , lights on. Still had kids coming.

We went to a Halloween party at WDW in September! That’s me, Tom, and my sister Nancy with Maleficent’s horns.

Thanks for sharing this bobbi - I always enjoy seeing your pictures :goodvibes
Well, it is a Halloween celebration, I guess a party of sorts. Just the family.
DH has a meeting, DIL has friends from out of country over their house, so it will just be 5 of us.
There will be Halloween buckets for the 4 of them with goodies and candy.
I will make (or try ) .We'll see how they come out.
