Slinky to MMRR

Need some advice. Going to HS on a busy day (Touring plans lists it at an 8 on crowed level). No Genie+, but utilizing Early Entry, planning on being towards the front of the early entry (getting up very early). Doing Slinky Dog Dash first, then heading over to MMRR. Would we be looking at a ~45min+ wait on MMRR if we did it this way?

As long as you are at the front of the crowds, MMRR will be a walk on or very short wait after getting on SDD. But being at the front is key. You have to be the front of the EE crowd at SDD to be able to beat the regular day guests to MMRR. You need to be at your bus stop 90mins before park opening. You also have a chance to knock one more ride with a low wait after MMRR I would say, so maybe go for TSMM or ToT after MMRR.
We did rise then MMRR and both were walk ons. Rise is risky though because it can be often delayed, but SDD is much more reliable. Enjoy!

We did this over the week of Presidents day and it worked well, however we were literally on the 2nd or 3rd train for Slinky. I think it generally though is a good plan. We definitely waited under 30 mins for MMRR after Slinky on those mornings.

during jersey week last year, we got to DHS pretty early (but not quite front of rope drop) and headed to SDD. it was running trains well before the posted start of early entry hours - unlike any other attraction i've noticed. it could have been a fluke but if your first stop is SDD it may be worth your while to "rope drop the rope drop" because you could conceivably be off SDD before MMRR even starts running.

that said, especially at DHS, things are often down at early entry, so be flexible.
