Slightly Confused w/ TS Credits

So I've read a lot of information on the Dining plan, and have used QSDp as well as the normal DDP. Though, I haven't used the normal DDP since they re-did the point system.

My question is: Would I be able to book Crystal Palace and/or 1900 Park Fare character with 1 TS Credit?

I am confused with this because I know they are sit down, but they are buffet AND character meals. I read, somewhere in the mountain of information that I've acquired, that the Deluxe Dining Plan was used only for Buffets.

Perhaps I read that piece of info wrong? :confused3

I am aware that signature dining is worth 2 TS credits.

The regular dining plan gives you 1 table service credit---1 counter service credit and 1 snack.

The Deluxe dining plan gives you 3 credits and 2 snacks every night---they are not designated for table service or counter service.

As far as I know all buffets are 1 table service credit. There is no distinction between table service and buffet. They are the same when it comes to using credits. The difference is that the Children's credit at the buffet entitles them to the same food as the adult credit. They are not restricted to the kids portion of the buffet.

The only character table service or buffet that requires 2 table service credits is The Royal table at the Castle.1900 Park Fare counts as 1 table service.

Further info--the Quick service plan now offers 2 counter service credits and 1 snack per night. All plans also include the refillable mug for the resort.

OH! Okay, that makes a lot more sense. That's what I thought but was terribly confused by the clashing information

I know about the Quick service plan, I recently used that at the end of July ^_^ Well, recent for me :lmao: But that is amazingly good news for the mugs! I read that the normal dining plan didn't have it and I knew my mother would be a bit sad about that. BUT now she gets all the diet coke she wants in a pretty mug :woohoo:

Thank you so much!

All Disney buffets (with the current exception of Pepper Market which is now doing an all you can eat deal for a CS credit) and character meals are considered table service restaurants.

Most likely, as that isn't the case. Perhaps you read a post by someone who preferred using their credits for buffets.

Oooh, isn't Pepper Market in Coronado Springs? Sounds like a good deal for a CS credit :)

Ah okay, well I'm glad I checked! Thank you for letting me know ^_^
This information will REALLY make my family (mostly my mother) very happy :)
