Sorry, I'm a little late.. Late night returning home from basketball with homework to check which made it later. Good thing last night was DD's last game.. Now, just 3 more kids to finish in the next few weeks for basketball and than we start soccer/track/ and 4-H!
Okay, here is my idea for this swap I got my inspiration from 2 peas. Search their gallery under slide mounts, lots of inspiration there. Even if you search just the particular season you can get a lot of inspiration and scale it down to the slide mount.
I will leave it up to each individual if they want to adhere paper and alter pre-made slide mounts or if they want to use their Sizzix slide mount (or another brand) dies. There are sometimes I like the thicker ones and there are sometimes I like the thinner ones. Its totally up to the swapper.
Please dont do anything HOLIDAY related because we have a swap for this later in the year.
Here are some ideas; these are only off the top of my head at 9AM.
Fall: falling leaves, string the word autumn or fall on the slide mount or in the window of the slide mount. Back to school, pumpkins
Spring: flowers, rain,
Summer: beach theme, picnic related, pool related,
Winter: snowflakes, snowmen, gloves, sleds.
You may do one slide mount that is open and one slide mount that becomes a shaker box if you like. There is a cute one of the shaker box ones on 2peas in a winter theme.
Due date is March 28th (that is when I need to receive your package. Please mail packages out by March 24th with DELIVERY CONFIRMATION. I will wait be mailing them back out on March 30th. This is firm because now we are in travel soccer & track season!
The "rules"
1. Choose a group. There will be 2 groups of 8 swappers for the seasons. So, you will get 2 complete season sets back. Please sign up for only one group until Friday, March 2nd. On Friday, those spots still open can be claimed.
2. Choose your season Make 2 slide mounts for each person (total of 16 per group).
3. PM me with your DIS name, name, home address, email address, and phone numbers. Email and phone numbers will only be used to follow up if I have not heard from you. For those who have swapped with me in the past, I have your info. If I have missed placed it I will let you know.
4. Post your weekly status on the Progress thread - which will be posted after the slots are filled. You must check in 2 weeks prior to the due date by March 14th. If I have not heard from you by then, I will send you a pm or an email. I WILL ANGEL YOUR SPOT IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU WITHIN TWO DAYS OF THE PM OR EMAIL.
5. Check the progress thread for your status - it will be updated with ship info and received info.
6. Packing Instructions PLEASE use a separate baggie for each person and put everything for that person into their bag. Please label each bag with your name so we know who made each element. Youll have 8 bags to enclose in the larger (gallon size) bag for each group you are in - be sure to include your name, your DIS name and your group number on the larger baggie. Include $4.05 for postage (or stamps if you don't want to send cash) to return your items. Delivery Confirmation is $0.50.
Please dont send metered or click-it/ship-it postage some hostesses have had issues with these. If you would like to send it to me a cheaper route that is fine, just let me know.
7. PM me if you have problems and need to drop out or if an emergency happens (we all know things happen beyond our control sometimes), let me know so we can make arrangements for an angel or other help if needed.
8. There will be 8 people per group. There will be a total of 2 groups. If there is overwhelming response, I will open one more group.
