We are considering taking the kids to this show at xmas. Has anyone done this? I let them choose Sleuths, Pirates, Medieval Times or Al Capone. They chose the Sleuths, but they are young and I can talk them into any of them ;) We have done Medieval times once and they loved it We also did Dixie Stampede two years ago for xmas and had a lot of fun.

Haven't tried this, but I checked out the website and it looks really cool.

I really enjoyed the Sleuths show, but I think it is more adult in nature. Not x-rated "adult", just that it is not child centered and a lot of it would go over the heads of kids. I don't think that most kids would love it. And the food leaves a LOT to be desired...the dinner is less important than the show for that particular dinner show.

With kids younger than teenagers, I'd probably do Arabian Nights or Medieval Times.

If Dolly Parton's show was still there, that would top my list, but it isn't.

Don,

If you decide to pick Sleuth's, go to Restaurants.com. You can get discounted gift certificates to many restaurants and Sleuth's is on there. I saw it when I was looking for some places this morning. They are having a sale now for a couple of days - enter NINETY at checkout and you can get $25 gift cert for $1. We've used this website many times before and it is legit.

I use Restaurants.com too, but keep in mind that it says on the certificate that you get that you can only use ONE certificate per table, not per check, but per party. So if you order three $25 certificates you probably will only be able to use one. For a dollar, you could chance it and try to use all three, but that has only worked for me one time. Every other place was pretty strict about the one certificate per party rule.

I'm thinking you missed a zero :) They have them for 10 bucks. I will get one, might as well save 15 bucks ehh...

A few friends of ours did the pirates one last year. They said that it was comparable to Medieval Times.

Nope, I didn't miss a zero. They are normally $10 for a $25 gift cert. My original post was right. They are having a sale right now - enter in the code NINETY at checkout and you will get 90% off the $10. Which means it will cost you a total of $1!!!
