Sleigh Ride Question

From my understanding they will not fill the sleigh. WE are doing the same thing and cannot wait. They have more than one sleigh and they run, at least to our understaning, every half hour. But remember they only take cash and don't forget the tip. :) Come on December.

That sounds great! Anyone have a picture of the sleigh that they could post? Thanks. :)

I booked the sleigh ride and my family will fit. My DDs are 10,15 and 16...The CM told me our family of 5 was fine....Hope she was right....

dbail2-

I was told you could only have 3 adults with 2 children (under 10). Or 4 adults.

I was not able to book my whole family 3 adults, DD13 and DS9.

I thought they said they would charge the credit card you used to secure the reservation 24 hours before the sleigh ride? Maybe this was something else? I guess I should call and double check! I don't always have a lot of cash on me! Especially by the end of the day!! LOL!

For all you southerns and city dwellers --- you can come to my house in northern Illinois and I will hitch up our black Percherons and take you for a real sleigh ride. It is so beautiful to see big black horses tromping through fresh fallen snow!!!!

But a "Disney Sleigh Ride" sounds magical. Have fun

Renee:)

Rneighh,

Got any pix of your beautiful horses?? My DD age 6 is a horse NUT and would love to see a pix. :) We're Southerners and RARELY see any snow (and if we do it melts before it hits the ground).

The Disney sleigh ride does sound fun. We'll have to check that out for our December trip.

:)

This post prompted me to call and reserve for hubby and I on December 26. Can hardly wait and will try to keep secret from hubby!!!!!

YOu can see some pictures at our web site
www.plumcreekfarms.com

We have not put any recent pictures on but still have some good ones on the site.

I cant wait to book this for my wife. We will be down for our anniversary and are eating at Cali grill on the 10th and hopefully haveing a ride at the WL as a suprise for her also!!!! :-)

Is this a horse drawn sleigh ride? I assuming that but you know what assuming does.

Yes, it is horse drawn.

In this case, your assumption would have been a safe one ::yes::

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info. This works in perfect with plans we already had in place for our December trip. Our 9 year old will love it since she is really into horses at the moment. It will be a great surprise for her!

DISLUV- We, too, are celebrating our anniversary on the 10th at CG and I am surpising my DH and DD with the sleigh ride that night!

I just booked December 18th at 7:30pm. Is that a good time? Is it to dark then?

We were also thinking of having dinner at the Wilderness Lodge beforehand. Is that a good idea?

Artist Point in the WL is one of our favorite restaurants in WDW - definitely try it out.

If you have never been before, the sleigh actually rides on tires but they are somewhat concealed. Last year we did it and once you get into the woods, there is not much to see except DARK!

However, we left a couple minutes late, and arrived back a couple minutes late. When we turned the corner out of the woods to go up the drive, the fireworks over the MK were going off. That was cool!

What time does it get dark?

Where is Port Cache at the Wilderness Lodge? (Where you meet the sleigh ride)

This sounds exciting! I may surprise my dh and 3yo dd with it, during our Dec. trip!! :teeth:
