Sleeper/Sofa in Studio

Hello,

How comfortable are the sleeper/sofas in the Studios? The studios hold 4 people and 2 on the sleeper sofas, just wondering how that works out, for say 3 adults.

Depends on the resort. SSR studios all have a newer design sofabed that is much more comfortable than older ones. There have been scattered reports of these new beds at some rooms at OKW and BWV. All resorts will eventually have them as rooms reach their schedule rehab periods. Other than at SSR, there's no way you could guarantee getting one of the better beds before you arrive.

Depends on the people involved, IMO. A studio is about the size of a standard hotel room. You'll all be in one room--share one balcony---share one TV--share one bathroom, etc. If they are all close friends and/or relatives, it shouldn't be a big deal. But don't expect any individual privacy.

Most OKW 1,2, and 3 bedroom units have the new sofas too, but OKW has two queen beds in the studios. I don't know if the other resorts have the new ones yet.

We recently stayed at BCV and I slept on the sofa bed. I was surprised that the sofa bed wasn't longer. My feet stuck over the end, unless I slept at an angle, and yet I'm only 5'4". I can't imagine how a taller person would manage.

Has anyone found out who manufactures these newer sofabeds? I know that there was a thread about this awhile back but I can't find it after searching for it. We'd like to buy one ourselves!

Dh slept on the sofa bed last week at BCV. His back is in spasm now. His chiro says it's because of the sofa bed sleeping, but since the back didn't start until about 3 days after he got home (and was a week-end warrior around the house!!) I suspect it wasn't just the sofa bed.
