Slang in your area...

Nobody here says "Pop" for "Soda". I always forget what "Pop" is so when people use it here, it takes me a bit to realize "Oh, they mean soda."

And here kids use gay for EVERYTHING!
i.e: This book is gay= I hate this book.
I don't use that term though. It makes absolutely no sence when you think of it.

Unless books have sexual orientations. It makes no sense at all

I used to live in Quebec and when I moved to Onario they have some wierd slang that I wasn't used to.

Like in Quebec they say Soda but in Ont. hey say Pop.
and when you are going to go knock on someones door to ask them to go out and play or w/e in Ontario they say "Let's call on so-and-so"

My family always calls couches/sofas "chesterfields" and nobody ever knows what we mean lol.

and in Quebec a convinience sore is a "depanneur" (day-pan-er)

I really like bubbler :) heheh

here's sme more slang from my area;

we say "brutal" alot...like if something sucks we say "that's brutal"

jacked means stolen ie; "someone jacked my hat"

stellar=awesome "that's a stellar shirt you have on"

seen means that's awesome (not in the same way as stellar though) like "that's awesome" = "SEEN!"

I definately know what a chesterfield is. I've been calling them that all my life.

The only time I really ever use depanneur is if I'm talking to someone french.

The Tv Remote.
What do you call it?
I call it the remote or the flipper.
For some people it's like.. flicker, the channel changer, etc.

I call it remote.
My friends call it clicker but the word clicker annoys me...:goodvibes

We say ya'll ALOT.
And ain't.
And we use "drink" instead of soda/pop.
We use gay and retarted as terms of...dislike.
-Cell- Phone sounds more like -Sail- Phone.
Me and my friends say [flippin'] a lot when we're at work or around parents to subsitute for the F word.

All for now. =]

Remote. ::yes::
I've never heard of it being called clicker, yet I'm not from where you are so I wouldn't know.
I've heard people call it a remove here.....maybe they just made one of those mistakes that stick?

I call the TV remote a "changer"

"pass me the changer"
my family calls it that.

I call it a remote, most of the time.

But I don't say "tv" I say "television"

i'm gonna sound wicked weird. but when i read that i was like "like in Rocket Power!" i loved that show

Well i'm from the bay area in california so some places can get really ghetto over here. For instance I live in a town called Antioch and people call it the "yoc." We also say Whud up and mang a lot.

I live in Louisiana.
We say buggies instead of shopping cart, say puh-con instead of pee-can, um... of course we say 'yall' instead of 'you guys' , i have a slight southern accent, i've never heard someone say "i want a hoggy" down here, call the remote a remote, i rarely say "i want to watch television", just TV, usually i just say "i want a coke", meaning any soda in general. I don't notice if people say soda or not.
