I'm so excited! 
Ever since our vacation got cut short (Frances), we have been in correspondence with Skyauction about our week at Cypress Pointe Grandvillas. As most of you know, we had a week at Vistana but then had to leave Orlando early before we could use our week at CPGV.
Anyway, it has been back and forth, back and forth the whole time. I don't mean to say that we've had any problems. But we informed them that we weren't planning on coming back within the next calendar year (that was the original offer) but we were planning on Nov. 26th, 2005.
Well, ofcourse, they don't have much inventory that far out (infact, they gave me the impression that they only have inventory for Vistana). I understand that. We asked for Vistana (ok, just thought I'd try it
), but they said that was a "higher class of service" so that was only available if we pay an extra $200.
Now, that still would be a good deal. We paid $220 for the week, so that would be $420 for 7 nights at Vistana. A GREAT deal. But this next trip is the one that we want to spend the least amount on the accomodations, since we will be going for 2 weeks, and buying AP's. And it will be into December, so a pool isn't as much of a priority.
I asked them if we could be put "in limbo" until they have inventory available. Guess what? They said YES!
So in December of this year, we are to contact them to reserve our week. I don't see any problem with getting CPGV. But even if there were, I have some others in mind.
I'm so thrilled. A week's accomodation for 2005 is already paid for and almost ready. I'm starting to believe this trip is really going to happen.
As a side note: The Vistana offer made me think we must have really gotten a good deal when we won our week there. We only paid $301 and they wanted us to pay the $220 + $200 extra($420) for the week/2005. I feel good about the deal we got for Vistana. I don't ever expect that to happen again!
