i got sprayed by a skunk this morning. not a pleasant experience. i don't think they're cute anymore. kinda greasy and rat like, not to mention the smell.

We have one roaming around my neighborhood. It got the neighbor's dachshund the other night, and my mutt came in smelling a bit last night (like he might have rolled in a sprayed area). Horrid odor. Plus, as a bonus, I go to Scout resident camp for three nights with my DS9 this Sunday, and last year there were four skunks nightly roaming the tent area from lights out until daylight. Poor kids couldnt even leave there tents to pee till morning. Luckily we had a tree nearby ours. This year I'm taking a mixture of cayenne pepper and moth crystals to spread around the perimeter. Heard it might help keep them at bay.

But in your case, you might want to get to know some tomato juice and hydrogen peroxide. Sorry.

We had a guy come to work who had been sprayed the previous night. Our boss asked him to go home - it was awful. It took a long time before the faint smell went away.

My Dh has no sense of smell. Well, wait, he can detect that there is an odor, he just can't tell if it's good or bad. When he was teenagers, traisping through the woods on his usual search for adventure, he got sprayed in the face by a skunk. His mom made him sleep outside. He still claims he preferred this to the time he was chased through a field by a rabid skunk.

And, oddly enough, they had a pet skunk in his house around that time. His dad found an abandoned baby skunk, had a local vet de-scent him, and he joined the family. Apparently it's disposition was like a sweet cat, and he even used the litterbox like a cat too.

i was riding the bike with another guy. we had just seen a dead raccoon so when i saw a small furry animal running up the road, i thought i was about to see another coon. by the time i realized it was a skunk, we had spooked him and he kinda did the scared cat thing (hair electrified, arched back) then the spray. kept riding and turned around after a few miles and rode by the same damn skunk who did the same damn thing only this time the little bugger shot blanks.

Please, tell me you're not at work lawyering away and smelling like ***.

i wasn't hit directly. i think we just rode through a cloud. nobody has complained yet, so i think i'm good now.
