Skipping Mondays

I've made an important descision. I'm skipping Mondays.

I started the year out with a positive attitude but....Mondays bite. (Can I say that word?)Nevermind. Changed verb. Every Monday, of this new year, has brought bad tidings. I've also incurred unexpected expenses (significant $$$) every Monday. I definitely need a break.

So, I'm not doing Mondays ......"If I do, I'll go crazy. I'll think about that tomorrow." (ala Scarlett O'Hara)

Anybody else have a day they'd like to skip?

 How about the last year and a half for me

I always thought the tues-thurs work week held a lot of merit :)

I'll never be able to get it though :(

I can really relate to these wise words....immortalized by The Monkee's..

I wished I would have stayed in bed.
My pillow wrapped around my head.
Instead of waking up to find.
A nightmare of a different kind.....
This just doesn't seem to be my day.

Mondays seem to have a way of doing that. I can't stand them anyway, but the one on which my mom collapsed and then died on Tuesday, was the worst and I have dreaded them even more since then.

I'm with you. I really dislike Mondays also.

I hate Tuesdays.

I can totally understand about Mondays though. They are certainly a day to skip.. but personally, Mondays aren't too bad. At least I can wake up and be like "uhhh MONDAY".. Wednesday we are 1/2 way through the working week, Thursdays are typically pretty chill, and Fridays are the first day of the weekend..

BUT, what is Tuesday? Just an annoying day that makes Friday that much further away. (Plus, I learned in a college class that more people are murdered on Tuesdays.. :scared: )

I agree Mondays BITE! mostley after sleeping in on Sat and Sun ....6:15 am Monday morning comes around fast. But there is one good thing about mondays for this SAHM...the kids are back in school :rotfl2:

I'm another one who doesn't like Tuesdays.. I don't know why.. Nothing worse ever happens on a Tuesday than any other day - I just don't like Tuesdays.. Don't even like the sound of the word.. Weird..

I feel the same way about February.. Don't like the month - don't like the weather - don't like the sound of it.. LOL

I dislike Mondays. This year, though, I dread Friday afternoons. I have a double period with my most rambunctious class, and the troublemaker from an earlier class joins them for one period due to a scheduling conflict with another class. I'm ready to crawl under my desk and hide just thinking about that group!

I am ok with Mondays, but I hate Fridays. :crazy2: I am just so ready for the weekend at that point that I just wish we could skip from Thursday evening right to Saturday.

If everyday is a gift...where can I return Mondays????

But, I guess if we didn't have them, then we'd all start hating Tuesdays...then Wednesday...and so on and so on...;)

I am not very fond of Mondays either, I think Mondays bite!!

I am not very fond of this month either...except that my birthday is this month. That's it. Nothing else.

I once read somewhere that the sole purpose of February is to use up all of the crappy days that wouldn't fit into January..:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

For us in the northeast, I can definitely relate to that..:)

I don't like Wednesdays. My classroom always seem to be misbehaved on Wednesdays for some reason. They are quiet and sleepy on Mondays so I will keep those.
