Skipping Costa Maya

Has anyone heard why the current (10/27-11/3) Disney Fantasy itinerary has dropped Costa Maya? Thanks for any info you can provide.

I would imagine that it is because the Fantasy left Port Canaveral about 4-5 hours late after getting into PC very late after riding out the hurricane last night. They probably will get to Grand Cayman late on Monday and leave late on Monday, so will probably skip Costa Maya in order to get to Cozumel on time. They usually have to make some adjustments to their itinerary in situations of bad weather.

Costa Maya is a island in which they only stay a few hours anyway and Cozumel is a much longer stay, so they probably figure skip the island with the fewest hours in order to give the guests a better schedule.

We've done 22 cruises with Disney but hadn't run into this ourselves. We have family who are on this cruise and friends who were getting off the previous one. So we were aware of the problems and delays. What you explained makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question!

Not sure if my answer is correct or not, but your very welcome. Hope your family stays safe on this cruise as I have been ready about the horrible night the passengers had on the ship last night. We sail in two weeks, so hope the Atlantic calms down by then.
