Ive never been to Skipper Canteen and plan on going for the first time this May. I was looking at the menu and everything looks so good. I know opinions vary, but what are some "can't miss" entrees at Skipper Canteen?

I really enjoyed the pork and my husband had the chicken and also really liked it.

My husband loved the beefy pasta. If you like curry, the veggie curry stew is amazing!! Also, the fruit juice that they have is delicious.

We just ate there for the first time on 1/8. We ordered the pork, tastes like chicken, lamb chops, and the veggie Currie. Dessert we tried the coconut bar and quicksand. Everyone agreed that the pork was the best. We thought everything else was way under seasoned, completely lacking any flavor. The desserts, although beautiful, weren't that great. We agreed that we'd go back, but be very selective. Our server was great - just the right amount of shtick. Next time I think I'll try the whole lion fish. The table next to ours ordered it and it looked good.

Here's what was really can't miss: the theming. It's a throwback to that classic Disney theming that hasn't been seen in the parks for years. Don't get me wrong, I love New Fantasyland, BOG is an absolute must, and the new Star Wars stuff has me excited for more, but it's a different type of theming. I felt like a kid exploring Disney again. We were seated in the library, but inspected the entire restaurant.

Take some time to read the titles on the books on the shelves.

We ate there for the first time in December, and we liked it!

I had two apps for my meal, the cachapas and the falafel. The cachapas were amazing, and I was sad when I finished them. The falafel was ok, I didn't finish it.

My husband and 13 year old had the Niles and Niles of Rice Noodles. They both liked it, described it as a kind of weak Pho.

My 11 year old had Skip's Beefy Pasta or whatever it was called...it was ok. I liked the beefy part, but the pasta plain with the bechamel was kind of blah. On the flip side of that, my kid liked the noodles with bechamel over the beefy part. So...opinions vary!

We would eat there again and explore the menu more. The restaurant is beautiful inside, and each room is themed differently. It's a lot of fun! And seriously, the cachapas are SO GOOD. They replaced the arepas on the menu, which is what I had wanted to order after my first look at the menu online, but I was happy with the replacement.

Just ate there this past weekend. Don't know if I would call it can't miss but I liked Skip's Beefy Baked Pasta. Beef wasn't too spicy but had good flavor and I like the sauce with it. I would definitely get it again.

We ate there in Oct.
We shared the falafel and arepas for apps and liked them both
For entrees, dh had the tastes like chicken, I had the pork and ds had the noodle bowl.
The pork was flavored well. Ds thought his noodle bowl was not hot enough temperature wise so he asked them to heat it up. They came back with a whole new one.
We shared two desserts. I thought the serving size was on the small size. They were ok.
We were in the main dining area. It was a little loud and very busy.

we have gone to skippers twice I have had the pork and lamb both were very good my wife had the beefy pasta and liked it
