Since I don't go nearly often enough-those long lines scare me off-what times would you consider "peak" and especially, are there any relatively slow times? Last January, I was pleasantly surprised about 4:45-5:00pm when I saw a relatively short line, and got to have an early dinner (their quiche is delicious). But I think the short line was more a function of weather than time of day.

Most of the year has the festival booths now and they open 11am, drawing alot of people to those. Hitting the bakery between 10:30 and 11:30 has worked well for us. Even 10-noon might be okay for slower day or week.

Otherwise like 2pm-4:30pm, and after 7pm.

That was definitely not just the weather, that's a non peak dining time. Too late for lunch but not quite dinner time for most people. In general that's when you want to hit quick service locations at Disney. Prime dining hours are basically the same everywhere, 8-10 for breakfast, 12-2 for lunch, 6-8 for dinner. if you generally go places in between those time frames lines are shorter and you don't have to stress as much about seating. You'll notice those are also generally the time slots that ADRs book up the fastest at table service spots too.

Thanks everyone! These "off" times would work well for me, since I often get up for rope drop, then realize around 10:00 that "Hey, I didn't eat yet!"-Great time for a quiche and dessert.

Does anyone know if they can they pack items up "to go"? My DD and I are staying at BW in a couple of weeks and I have an AP, but DD does not. I would love to go in the IG and pick up lunch and bring it back to the BW, but don't want to carry it there on just a plate, if I can help it. I am just talking about sandwiches and pastries in bags or similar, nothing fancy.

Although, now that I think about it, if they don't have bags or any other packaging, I could bring something in to carry it out. Would still like to know if I need to do that, though.

We usually ask for to go boxes because there are usually no free tables available. They give you pastry boxes and you can request a bag to put them in to make carrying them easier for the trip to your resort.
