I'm sure some folks out there can help me with this one...

I have a 6:40 dining reservation for Skipper Canteen on the night of a Christmas Party but we decided NOT to attend the party that night. I saw that there were special "Christmas Party" dining reservations available at CRT and others - these clearly stated that you need a party ticket to use these reservations BUT this Skipper Canteen reservation had no such disclaimer when I booked it. Can someone let me know if I need to cancel this reservation or not? I've read conflicting things online about it. Anyone have recent experience with this?

Thanks!

Skippers' Canteen closes at 7 on party nights and doesn't participate in the MVMCP dining so you will be fine. Anyone making reservations at this restaurant does not need party tickets. Be sure to check in on time because some restaurants will not seat after the last reservation time. Once you have finished dining you will be escorted or directed to the exit.

My daughter said that there were no restrooms inside this restaurnat, and you needed to use the one in the park. I was concerned because I heard no one could even use restrooms once the party started.

It's been quite a while since we ate there, but I remember walking through one of the smaller dining rooms and down a hallway to the restroom. Wonder if that has changed.

Thank you. That's very helpful. I spoke to one of the DVC member services people today and she did some asking around and confirmed that we would be fine.

We ate there in the first few months that it was open and I used a restroom inside the restaurant. I remember because someone in my party ate my ALL THE STEAK on my "A Lot at Steak" salad while I had just stepped around the corner to use the restroom. We were in a smaller room in the back of the restaurant. Let's just say it turned into a legendary story in our family! (They used the "I thought you were done!" defense. I'm not buying that excuse!) :sad2:
