Are there certain attractions that you religiously skip everytime you go to a certain park? What are they and why?

Ali

Well since 4-5-04 was our first trip, we will probably skip Sounds Dangerous at MGM. IT was alright and good to get out the heat, but I wouldn't wait in line for it.

I will never again go to Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey. That is probably the only attraction I can honestly say I don't ever want to see again!!!

I'm another that will be really hard up to pass time before I do Sounds Dangerous again!! It was just barely okay. Anyhow, we've only done IASW once, and don't know that we'd do it again. Might possibly after the rehab just to see everything looking all nice and refreshed. We don't do the Mexico ride (it smells too musty in there). We also seem to always skip things like Aladdin's carpets and Dumbo. They are too carnival like. Meaning, Dumbo has the "classic" appeal. But basically they are similar, and are very similar to standard carnival type rides too. Just as there are rides we always skip, there are rides we always do!!

Here's another vote for Sounds Dangerous. Really did not like that so have not gone back for the last 4-5 trips. We also have only been to TimeKeeper 1 time and won't do that again.

Just too much other stuff to do to waste time in ones we don't enjoy.

Body Wars at Epcot those flight simulator rides make DH sick to his poor wittle tummy :teeth:

We also skip the Make-Up show at MGM, don't know why I don't even remember seeing it once, just never interested me.

In MK we always skip Tom Sawyers Island and the Swiss Tree House.

I don't know if we religiously skip things, but there are a lot we won't do every trip.

The train ride to Rafiki's Planet Watch at AK. We did it our first trip in 1998, and have not been back since. Our last trip, no one wanted to do It's Tough to be a Bug. We walked out of Tarzan Rocks, no one in the family liked it, so we'll be skipping that in the future.

I also don't like the Swiss Family Treehouse, but for some odd reason, the kids do. We have only done Hall of Presidents once, and have never done Carousel of Progress, it just didn't sound interesting. The Country Bears Jamboree is something else we would probably do about every 15 years or so. Sometimes experiencing an attraction once is enough to last a long time!

We haven't done the Backstage Pass or animation tour or whatever it's called at MGM. The kids are more into rides than some of the more educational things at the parks. The Backlot Tour is also on our skip list now, after 2 or 3 times, no one cares any more.

There are some movies at Epcot I still haven't seen in 5 visits. Many of the things in Future World are things we don't feel the need to do that often - Ellen's Energy Adventure, The Living Seas (although we'll have to go check out Nemo), The whole Imagination Pavillion, even Spaceship Earth.

I think it's a sign we have done too much Disney - last summer we branched out to spend more time at Universal, went to Discovery Cove and Seaworld, just to shake things up a bit.

At MK, I plan to skip Swiss Family Treehouse, Tom Sawyer's Island, and Timekeeper. We may or may not do Tiki Birds.

The kids are welcome to do the treehouse and the island. I may go to the island if everyone wants a snack at Aunt Polly's. The last few times the rafts were so crowded and hot that it made it less desireable.

Timekeeper had a horrible wait and was incredibly loud. It wasn't worth the hassle. The Tiki Birds bored the kids and put them to sleep...hey, now there's an idea!

I would have to say The Swiss Family Treehouse, because I don't enjoy the stairs.

While we have done these at least once, we dont usually go back...Hall of Presidents, Sounds Dangerous, Country Bears, Snow White, ITTBAB. We also usually skip or miss Illuminations.

Although I usually go on it....WDW needs to update Snow White. Gosh, that ride isn't even good technology for the early 70's.

Sounds Dangerous....

The Hall of President's is just O.K., but on a hot day....in that cool room, my eyes get really heavy....

The ones I skip seems to be everyones pick is Sounds Dangerous and Hall of Presidents(almost fell asleep on that one). Also in MK Swiss Family Robinson becasue of the climb up and IASW definitely I find that one annoying. In AK the Rafiki train ride. I found that boring.

We don't do Swiss Family Tree House anymore, too many stairs, but glad to have seen it. The only one of the rides/shows mentioned that I would say could be skipped without seeing at least once is Sounds Dangerous. I don't like Country Bears, but DH does. There are things that we skipped if short on time or something, But these 3 are the only ones that I would say I don't care if I ever see again. Well, if I didn't have RA Ii might like to do Swiss Family TreeHouse again, since it's been 4 years since I've seen it.

My husband informed me that we will not be skipping the Swiss Family attraction this year :( I don't wanna go!!!!! LOL But we will be skipping Sounds Dangerous religiously from now on.

We skip sounds dangerours, like everyone said it is a major snooze and the Great Movie Ride at MGM, didn't like that one either.

Also the Swiss Family Tree house at MK, I don't mind the stairs, it is just boring.

At Epcot - it will be mission space, been there, done that, good enough for me! And also innoventions we usually make a speedy trek through, if that.

I can't believe how many people skip some of my favorite rides of all time. CoP, Tiki Room, Hall of Presidents, Country Bears to name a few. These are just a few of the rides that are on my family's Don't miss list. We don't skip anything on a regular basis. We LOVE EVRYTHING at WDW!!! ;)

Though I love everything Disney, there are things that I simply CAN NOT waste time on when there is so much else GOOD to do...

MK: CoP. If you've seen it once, you've seen it.
Snow White. Frankly, at 27 it still scares me.
Dumbo. Lines are too long to justify it.
Speedway. Those seats are so hot, I got 2nd degree
butt-burns
Tom Sawyer Island. Boring.
HP. I'll go if we get a new Pres this Nov. Otherwise, no.

EPCOT: Listen to The Land. Listen to me snore.
The Making of Me. The making of sleep.
Any of the circle-vision films.
The Living Seas. ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

MGM: Sounds Dangerous. Good for a nap.
Backstage Tour. There is nothing to see.

We've been to WDW quite a bit and we skip some things because we've seen them enough.

At MK, we skip Dumbo and Aladdin's Carpets, the Speedway, Space Mountain, Snow White,Hall of Presidents and until now Alien Encounter.

At Epcot, we skip The Making of Me, Body Wars, usually the WS movies, the Living Seas and Imagination if I can get away with it.

At MGM, we skip the HISTK playground, Tower or Terror (fear of falling), Backstage Tour and Playhouse show. I would love to skip Sounds Dangerous but DS likes it.

At AK, we skip Kali River Rapids unless the line is short, and the Rafiki thing.

We do make it a point to try everything at least once though.

I skip the France pavillion at Epcot for politcal reasons. Silly to some, but it's just what I do.

We've never gone planning to skip anything, nor do we ever intend to do everything. We sort of take things as they come and skip long lines, sometimes coming back later when they're shorter or non-existant.

This year, though, we'll probably skip some of the "thrill" rides since my wife had some major back surgery last year. That's okay, though. There's still plenty to do.
