Skiiers--Help I need new ski pants...

Thank you for reading this!! My DH and I are going to Keystone for a ski trip by ourselves--first time since before we had kids!! I tried on my ski pants, and they are both pretty big and not in the best shape. So, I am looking for some new pants. What is the "new" skiiers fashion trend?? The pants I had were strech, stir up type pants. I was going to buy the same type, but I do not want to look funny (out of date--not that I am a fahion plate or have much else that is in style, but I do want to feel good about buying something). So, if you have been on the mountains, please let me know what I should buy!! We have not been skiing in 7 years, so I know that we will be doing our fair share of falling.

The stirrup type pants are out. Check out some of the Spyder, Columbia, The NorthFace and Karbon pants. They have some v. nice styles out there. I'm in the market for new ski pants myself. Am looking at Spyder and Karbon. Can't decide between bibs or pants. I like bibs b/c snow won't get in 'em if I take a tumble. Gortex is nice b/c it'll keep you warmer. Be sure to go for water resistant!

I am glad I posted the question. I am going to look into the Columbia Titanium pants, I think. I am looking to be on a budget, since I am not sure when we will be going again--and TX does not get snow. I will be hoping for some after season sales soon. We are not going until March 30th. Good luck with finding some pants/bibs for yourself.
