Sizes of DVC resorts?

Can soemoen tell me the order of the DVC resorts by size (As far as accomadations?)
I believe OKW is largest? How do the others comapre?

If you're talking actual size of the resort (# of rooms), I think VB is probably the smallest. There are only 3 villa buildings. The Inn makes up the majority of the rooms.

I'm not sure where HHI would fit into the list.

I was talking about the # of rooms. I'm confused about the Inn at VB. Is this not considered part of DVC, like the Inn rooms at BW? I thought it was since it is listed in the VB point chart.

I think VWL is the smallest DVC at WDW. You mean the number of units at any particular DVC resort, correct?

OKW is the biggest, I think. I'm not sure if BCV is bigger than BWV.

Yes, the inn at VB is part of DVC. It's just another type of room rather than a villa. We actually prefer staying in the inn.

This is one reason we added on at VWL. It's the smallest resort on site and we wanted to be able to book at the 11 month window for the times we wanted.

I think VB may be similar (maybe larger) in size to VWL. HH is the smallest with 102 villas total.

I don't have the exact numbers nearby but approximate number of rooms (very approximate):

OKW- 540

BWV- 375

BCV- 220

VB - 180

VWL- 175

HH- 102

* SSR will be larger than OKW once completed. It is scheduled for 12 buildings with 46 villas per building. (550 villas)

** I do apologize in advance for these figures. They are not accurate and I'll try to find more correct figures when I get home later.

Not sure about the BCV but here is VWL & BWV,there is a slight difference in size.

BWV studio=359 ,1bed=712, 2 bed=1,071

VWl studio=356 1bed=727 2 bed=1,080

Sorry if I confused you. The Inn at Vero is very much a part of DVC. I was just tossing around the fact that, because the Inn is such a large part of the resort vs. the 3 Villas buildings and 6 Beach Cottages, that the number of one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms are actually quite limited. I'm not sure of exact numbers. Without the actual numbers to back it up, my gut feeling is that there are quite a few studio/inn set-ups but not very many "villas" compared to the other resorts.

If I read this right, you're saying that SSR will have 0 studios and 0 one bdrms - is that right?

Or does each 2 bdrm separate into a 1 bdrm and a studio?

Yes, I think that is correct. The public offering statement lists only 2 bedroom units--no studios or 1 bedroom. (you can separate them.)

Can anyone tell me what they feel the disadvantages are to this? Is there ever a noise issue? Anything else to expect with lack of dedicated 1 bedroom or studios?

At SSR, about half the 2-br's will be dedicated, and the other half will be lock-offs. I think the design will be the same as BCV, rather than BWV and VWL. At BCV, the connecting door is near the entry door. At BWV and VWL, the connecting door is in the middle of the living room.

There will be no dedicated Studios or 1BR villas at SSR. As John mentioned, the 2BR's will have both lock-off and dedicated available.
