Been back for a couple of weeks and the mind is working out when, why and how our next USA trip will be.
Have done Florida Theme parks and also California Theme parks, cruise in the Bahamas, NY, Niagara Falls and Las Vegas? Grand Canyon.
We would like to do maybe a road trip-Route 66 with maybe a couple of Six Flags for our theme park fix.
I would like to know if any of you have been to any Six Flag parks? were they a good ride fix? etc

According to my Cousin (Another avid WDW and theme park nut) who went on a month-long American theme park vacation, all the Six Flags parks are good, but like WDW, you need those fast passes, which sucks because they cost extra, and a $25 one is only good for 5 uses apparently.

thanks for the info - will look in depth on 6 flag website

Six Flags Magic Mountain is good if you are a coaster fan.

One of the best I have been to is Cedar Point.

For non coaster things we loved in the states try Yellowstone

Second the vote for Yellowstone, amazing place. Also, Monument Valley and Yosemite, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Arches and Canyonlands National parks. The scenery in those places gives me just as much of a kick as any theme park :cloud9:

yes very much enjoy coasters and thrill rides, checked out Cedar Point and would enjoy that park thank you.
We would be 2-3 years from visiting USA again for our road trip and our itinerary will change every week till we go- so many possibilities.
Will travel from east to west - will have to start highlighting areas we want to visit and work out what will be possible in our proposed 4 weeks.
I would also like the areas you suggested Andona- nat parks etc
