Ok...I haven't been to Six Flags over Ga in a couple yrs, but I have been to WDW twice in the last 1 1/2 yrs.. and lemme say this...
I went to Six Flags today with the kids, and from the moment I walked in the gate, it just was mediocre. I think I will always compare everything to WDW now, and it just didn't have any magic, I didn't even feel much like a kid, just a mom who wanted to see her kids smile, but was ready to go shortly after arriving.

Just had to share this... that I was always excited to go to Six Flags, have always enjoyed it, but the shows were alright, the employees, well, they are just regular employees, no 'in the moment' cast members, and the grounds just aren't magical.
Guess that's why we all love Disney:earsgirl:

I always though of six flags as my place for roller coaster thrills and not much more..... Disney gives me everything else I need !!!

The kids like Six Flags for the wild rides, but you are right, it no way compares to WDW and I always have to tell myself that before I go! If the kids didn't get the free reading tickets through school, I would have a very difficult time paying $40 to get in there! I'd rather save my $$$ for a hopper pass!;)

I agree Six Flags is not Disney. We have a local amusement park here we go to a couple times a year, and I realize its not WDW, but it has its own magic too. My DS loves going and it also has its own special charm.

We have amusement park here too in Michigan, it's Michigan Adventure. I't uncomparable to Disney, cause it's like comparing Holiday Inn to Grand Floridian. We had a great time at MA and we love the water park in the park, it's like getting 2 for the price of 1! If I was to enter MA thinking about WDW, then I would probably be disapointed.

BTW Michiganders, there's a water park just got built on I-75 near the Mackinac City. It's on the right side coming from south. It looks like a big water park. We were gonna go, but we ran out of time to stop. Wish we had a "Winter Wonderland Park" here in Michigan, where it's open 365 days a year and bring some tourist in our state.

We go to Six Flags every year for the rides with our whole family but after the trip this year we think we might find someplace else. It's close to home but it was dirty and the rides looked rundown. Just a note Last summer we visited Cedar Point in Ohio it was wonderful. Clean, the staff nice and helpful and OMG the rides can't be beat. If you like big Roller coasters you have to go to this park. you won't be disappointed.:sunny:

We had to go to Six Flags here in MD last week. DH's company rented the whole place out for the company picnic. It was not WDW by any means but I knew that going in as we had been there years ago. I kept telling DD that it wasn't like WDW but it was better then staying home! LOL! I was surprised that it was nice and clean for once. We stayed for about 4 hours and headed home. Just made me want my trip to WDW to get here a little quicker.
