Six Flags annual pass questions

I wasn't sure where to post this on Disboards, and this seemed like the most reasonable place.

Now that our kids are approaching 48" in height, we are considering getting season passes for our local Six Flags park. Can you point me to some useful information to consider before pulling the trigger? We live within 2 hours of the Montreal, Lake George, and Mass. parks, so a season pass to any of them would work, but I want to know if the various levels of passes are worth the price difference, and if there are better deals than the current Earth Day sale.

Lots of questions, not sure where to ask.

Thanks!

If you are that close to several make sure you read the fine print to get a pass that allows you to go to any of those parks.

I would absolutely crunch your math, but consider getting at least one ticket that includes parking.

Does your offer also give you coupon books if activated by a certain date, those are valuable, especially with free day tickets to bring friends.

We live in NJ and are about 25 minutes from Six Flags & Hurricane Harbor. We get season passes every year! My kids love the parks especially the water park in the summer months, lol. We always get the gold pass which gives us season pass parking and both the theme park and the water park, but it also says we can go to multiple other six flags theme parks if we are ever in the area to go to. I would check that out in your area, bc if you are within 2 hours of each 1 of those parks and you don't mind the driving then the gold pass might be the way to go if you can get into all 3 of those parks.

I have a question about the passes. If I want to get two tickets and our friends want to get two tickets, do we need to be together and redeem all four vouchers at the same time if we order them all at once?

In September, I purchased 2 gold passes with another coworker who was purchasing passes with her family. I got the benefit of getting the 4+ pass price and it was very low cost. I believe I paid around $70 for each pass and added the food on as well. We live about 45 minutes from Great America so we tend to go at least once per month. What you might do is buy one gold pass (for the free parking) and upgrade any regular tickets to the season thrill pass for the one you visit most. Then, this September grab the end of year deal. They tend to do those through November or December as well at varying price levels. The math will work out even if you go only a couple times and buy a slightly higher priced pass due to parking.

Not in my experience, I just took the voucher and it was redeemed at the gate.

The end of year deal is usually the best way to go. I think we bought our passes in early October and were able to go the rest of last year and then this year.

We got ours for like $50 a piece- bought them in NOvember for the upcoming year and it allowed us to attend their "Holidays in the Park" during November/December/Early January. "Rack-rate" prices are like $65 a ticket. Our tickets (GOLD) also allow us to visit the seperate Water park which is about a $50 ticket as well.

We have literally been probably about 10 times (went several times over the Christmas break- and often go with just a couple of the kids at a time).

For us, TOTALLY worth it! We also got the meal plan for 4 of us (there are 6 in our family) at about $99 each. But with that we got 2 meals plus a snack each visit at any park we attend- it is enough that we can easily split everything between all 6 of us when we all go). Again, it has more than paid for itself and we haven't even entered prime season yet.

Its a great deal if you are close enough to hop in the car and go. We are in Atlanta and are about 45-1 hours (depending on traffic) from either the Waterpark or main amusement park.

We teamed up with friends and bought four gold passes at Six Flags New England for $72 each. I paid, my friend sent me her share on Venmo, and I printed her vouchers to pdf and emailed them to her. We don't have to redeem them at the same time.

No dining passes this year. We'll see if we eat enough to warrant getting them next year.

We live about 2 hours from 6F New England, 6F Great Escape, and 6F La Ronde, so I expect a lot of park visits this summer, including lots of free guest passes at 6F New England for friends and family.
