Day 5:

This was our day to hit the rest of Future World. I was dragging this a.m. (could have been the 1 1/2 glasses of wine at HDD - I am usually a teetotaler!!). Eventually we made it to Epcot and stopped for a cappucino at the Fountain View Bakery. We headed over to The Land and had a bit of a wait already for Listen to the Land. Then we headed over to Imagination and did HISTA. We stopped at ImageWorks to send our picture and email to families and sis's friend who is another Disneyophile. We crossed over to Wonders of Life and saw Cranium Command and rode Body Wars. I love this ride, but it made sis a little green around the gills.
It was time to head to the Coral Reef for lunch. Sis had promised her friend she would try the Chocolate Wave dessert there, so I had made a 12:30 PS the day before. We had a short wait, and were seated close to the aquarium. I was still full from the HDD, so we ordered the smoky seafood chowder, and sis ordered the dessert. (The waiter was a little peeved that we didn't order an entree  ). The chowder was quite good, and sis's dessert was to die for. The restaurant really didn't have a lunch menu, though. It was nice, but not really my style.
We hit Universe of Energy after lunch, and I almost fell asleep on the ride!. We did some shopping and decided to head on back to AKL to rest. Eventually we decided that we wouldn't make it back into the parks - even though I really wanted sis to see Illuminations. We decided a good plan would be a nice dinner, followed by stupid reality TV shows :p .
We drove to DTD again and decided to try Cap'n Jack's. It was a pleasant surprise. Very pretty view out over the lagoon. I had crab-stuffed grouper, and sis had a salad and crab cakes. food was excellent, and service was great. I'm glad we decided to try Cap'n Jack's, even though I've read less-than-glowing reviews.

Day 6:

We slept in a little, then packed up. Sis had also promised her friend that she'd try the Tonga Toast at the Kona Cafe, so that was our plan. After saying goodbye to the animals, we loaded up the car and drove to the Poly. The Kona Cafe was very nice! We were seated immediately. Sis ordered the Tonga Toast - I had a bite and it was excellent, though VERY rich  . I was still full from the night before, so I wimped out with oatmeal and grapefruit - was very good, though!
After breakfast we still had time to kill before heading to the airport. We decided to ride the resort monorail. We asked for a ride up front, and had to wait for the next monorail, but then we got to ride the whole loop in the front :teeth:! It was a great ending to our trip - sniff.....

We had a great time, even though it might have been a little overwhelming for my sis!

Advantages to this time of year (I had never been during such a uncrowded time):
No or minimal lines (except Test Track)
Very pleasant weather
We visited DTD a lot, which I don't normally do. We gravitated there because parks closed early. Tried 3 new restaurants there!

Disadvantages:
Parks close early
Too cool to go to a water park, which I love!

Thanks for posting! Sounds like you guys had a terrific trip! You've inspired me to try out some of the restaurants in DTD. Glad you had fun!

What a great trip! I'm inspired to ask my sister if she would do a sisters only trip.
Thanks for posting. I'm exhausted just reading about your trip.

Thanks for your reports. We were there the same time. The weather and the crowd levels were fabulous....I agree. Glad you had such a good time.

It's my goal to someday go with my sister, who also has never been to WDW. Only thing is, she would not be able to afford it, so I'd have to save for both of us. That will take some time, but the day will come! Thanks for sharing! It was really fun reading!
