Sister Wives

I was surprised tonight when Kody and Meri were talking that they seem to not be actually spending any time together. It certainly feels like Meri has one foot out of the relationship

I haven't watched tonight's episode yet but I've been thinking Meri has had one foot out the door for a while now.

Holy moly. That boyfriend (or I guess now fiance) of Mykelti is really something, isn't he? I kinda hope he doesn't read the comments on the TLC Facebook page or Twitter. People can be ruthless!

*sigh* I don't know how this show keeps sucking me in but here I am...

I taped it but only watched about 5 minutes so far. It was the scene were they were all upset Mykelti was going to get married so soon after Maddie. Um, Kody has HOW may kids? And some of them could end up married to more than one person. Of course they are going to have more than one wedding per year.

I forgot how much I enjoy railing against this show. Can't wait to watch the rest!

And maybe I'm not romantic enough (we eloped), but why does he feel obligated to pay for every wedding? If I remember correctly, he didn't feel obligated to pay for all the colleges. Can't the girls pitch in for their weddings? And can't Mykelti and her boyfriend pay something?

Tony found an answer. Kody can mortgage one of the houses to pay for it!

Haven't seen yesterday's episode yet as it was Grey Cup Sunday (Canada's CFL version of the superbowl). So that kind of took precedence over Sister Wives. Is it worth watching or is it the same old? Please tell me they are done moaning about the catfishing.

I thought it was an entertaining episode. It was fun to see Kody ask his daughter's boyfriend to abstain from sex until after the wedding he wants to delay. I enjoyed watching the adults make the potential wedding all about them.

There was indeed catfishing moaning, but that wan't until late in the episode.

I'm still in the middle of it, but there seem to be so many red flags with Tony, and all Christine is worried about is how Janelle is going to take the news that Mykelti wants to get married 2 months after Maddie?

I didn't think that was Christine's concern. I am pretty sure she thinks her daughter could do much better than Tony but she wasn't going to be rude and actually express her opinion of him (he is gross, I don't care about being PC, he just seems like an idiot). I think Christine was on the spot and decided to make it seem more about the timing than the choice of husband.

I also think Christine had several concerns beyond Janelle. She was concerned about how long they had known each other, about her impulsiveness, about wanting to do what Maddie is doing. There seemed to be a lot of things that were bothering her.

Watching last night I kept thinking that I couldn't wait to come on to the Dis Boards today to see everyone's reaction to Tony. I totally agree with the above posts, he is no prize! I kept waiting to hear any mention of what, if any, his job is. And when he suggested that Kody could take out a second mortgage to pay for the wedding I couldn't believe it. YIKES, he's awful!!

I'm really surprised there wasn't a HUGE uproar from Kody and the wives about how these 2 were going to support themselves. I think if he had a good job we would have heard about it by now.

Is this the first episode from this season? I missed it and got a new cable company a few months ago and I didn't set this show to record.

I did get more that sense as I continued watching. When Tony mentioned that Kody should just get a loan against a house for the wedding even Mykelti expressed some disbelief. I have to agree with the mothers that she seems way less mature than Maddie. Watching Mykelti and Tony, I would have guessed that they were about 16 years old.
