Sister Challenge - moved to New Years Resolution in July

Today at lunch everyone was getting something from Taco Bell...EVERYONE BUT ME THAT IS!! :woohoo: I made my caesar wrap again!! The girls in the office were asking, "Are you sure you don't want anything??!!" and I told them absolutely not!! It felt really good!!! After they got done eating, they were all miserable...yes, I was loving it!! :goodvibes (ok...so i'm not a nice person...oh well!!)

Got up this morning and did the Denise Austin Shrink Your Female Fat Zone (SYFFZ) workout. I think I like that one better in the morning than Bob (Biggest Loser)...I like that she works your upper, then lower, then middle, then back, but mixes it up...that way not one part of you is worn out. She'll go from arm curls, to leg lunges, then to crunches, and keep rotating...it's a good workout. (no, i'm not a DASYFFZ representative!!) lol :teeth:
ok...so here's today...

b-1 piece of toast(plain at home), 1 piece of sausage w/ cheese (no biscut)
s-3 apple slices w/ peanut butter
l-(lite) caesar wrap w/ 12 oz sweet tea
s-nothing...not hungry...imagine that!! first time for everything, huh?
d-is going to be Roasted Pork Chops w/ Veggies...smells wonderful!! will be done in about 10 minutes!! :woohoo:
water intake - 32 oz :guilty:
exercise - 40 min SYFFZ this a.m. 30 min 2 mile run/walk this p.m. (cold and misty rain, but it still felt great...dh is convinced we are going to wind up w/ pneumonia (sp?)... :rolleyes1
resisted - taco bell, candy drawer.

man, i feel good today!!
oh...they ordered my tile for the living room, kitchen and laundry room!! :woohoo: I am so excited!!! should have it done in the next2 or 3 weeks!!! I CAN'T WAIT!! :cloud9:

Amy...have you watched it yet?? The one that was fired was SO deserving!!

I'm so mad at DH!! he is such a DA!! :furious:
DS was getting into the fridge last night to get some grapes and DH yelled at him to get out of the fridge!! WTH!! I told DH that if DS wants grapes, then let him have them!! DH said that he (ds) made 4 or 5 trips to the fridge to get 1 or 2 grapes each time....i said, so fix him a bowl of them instead of yelling at him!! DS went to his room and slammed the door, then DH went to our room and slammed the door. I told DS that he could have grapes, just get a bowl of them at one time. I told DH that he needs lighten up and chill out!! Haven't spoke to him since! I think DH owes DS an apology.
I mean, honestly, yelling at the kid for eating healthy!! :confused3

sorry, just had to vent!!

You know what I think is funny...when DS (who I swear would live on fruits & veggies alone) goes to eat my produce...and I'm down to the last few things & can't get to the store....I think it's sooo funny to say to him "No, sorry you can't have grapes, you have to have a cookie."

And the awards for the worst mommy goes to.....:)
 
Wanted to stop by and say a belated Congrats on the weight loss!! :cheer2:

You are doing Awesome on your eating also! :woohoo: Way to resist tempation at the office! I think it is fun to look around during lunch and see that I am eating the healthiest out of everyone :smooth: There aren't many places to eat out in the tiny town I'm working in, but they still manage to be pretty bad. I don't wish bad eating on anyone else, but I get satisfaction knowing that I am doing the right thing for my body. :sunny:

It is good that your DS is wanting the grapes :) I'm sure your DH will see the error of his ways. :thumbsup2

Thanks girls. I appreciate it! Both kids like most fruits...grapes, strawberrys, apples...I guess I'm lucky....dh came around....made him a bowl of grapes last night after dinner, put them in the fridge and told him they were ready for him when he was. :thumbsup2
I had BUNCO last night....did ok I guess....

b-banana & 8oz choco milk
s-Poptart to go bar -about the size of a granola bar, but PACKED w/ sugar!
l-YUM! leftover steamed veggies and couscous in a soft taco shell!! (I called it my Veggiecous Wrap)It was so good!! The girls in the office tasted my veggies and LOVED them!! (couldn't believe I made them, I'm NOT a cook!!)
s-nothing
d-salad before bunco......some chips and a piece of pizza at bunco...Crystal light lemonade to drink. (also had about 6 M&M's :guilty: )
water intake - 60 oz - 12 oz caffine free creme soda - 12 oz crystal lite
exercise-none (took a day off)
resisted- candy drawer - not even a temptation anymore!! :thumbsup2 more pizza and m&m's.

I should have gotten up and did the SYFFZ this morning, but the bed was SOOOO warm.... :guilty:

I'm glad your DH realized he was being a stinker. I have always told my kids that they can have a piece of fruit whenever they are hungry.

Great job resisting Taco Bell! And don't worry about the workout - you need a day off every once in a while! :thumbsup2

That's not a stupid question at all!! I didn't know what it was either until a friend of mine made me try it.
It's like a mini rice/pasta...it's about a 1/4 size of a normal grain of rice. I think you find it in the same section as the rice and grains. The brand that I bought is called FAR EAST. It comes in different flavors too.

I had a cheeseburger & fries for lunch!! Not just any cheeseburger.....a Backyard Burger Cheeseburger!!
This whole day has been shot to hell in my opinoin!! Had a glazed donut for b-fast and now this for lunch!! Heck, I may as well just go ahead and have pizza and beer for dinner!! :furious:

How many miles am I gonna have to run to erase this much damage?? :sad2:
Tonight is gonna be one of those, "run til you puke" nites, as my dh calls them! (sorry for grossness)
 
:hippie: I seriously think we share brainwaves or something, I did good at lunch but Totally blew it at dinner tonight. We had Buffet pizza and I was a total OINKER! Not that it is a whole lot of consolation, but I bet you weren't nearly as bad as I was :blush:

Ok, so we were bad today. It has to be remembered, but not dwelt upon. We can do better and we will! :sunny: You have been doing really well and you will certainly get back on track! Plus if you do run tonight you will burn off some of those calories, not enough, I know, but some. Don't get discouraged. Just try to remember this day next time the fat gods come a calling. (I'm gonna try to take my own advice, too :thumbsup2 )

I did run tonight...walked 1/2 mile then ran a little over 1 mile, then walked the rest. I wanted to do the 3 mile course and run more, but DH shins were cramping, so we called it at 2 miles. We (I) will definately do 3 tomorrow nite!

Well, like I said, today was bad!! And I feel like crap because of it!

b-1 glazed donut
s-celery w/ peanut butter
l-big ol' honkin' cheeseburger, fries and 20 oz sweet tea (hey, if your going to mess it up, go all out!)
s-nothing....felt like crap from lunch :guilty:
d-salad wrap
resisted - chocolate donut (yeah, like that makes a big diff!), candy drawer, pizza and beer for dinner! :rolleyes:
water intake - NONE!! had 20 green tea and 20 oz sweet tea
exercise - 30 min 2 mile run/walk....need to go do 40 min w/ Bob, but the Ball game is on and Memphis IS GOING TO WIN!!! :cheer2: :wizard: (i hope)

tomorrow will be a better day....i know it. After eating that burger today, i have felt like crud all afternoon. it was SO HEAVY!! felt like a ton of bricks sitting in my stomach! :crazy:

ok....gonna go watch the game....C'MON TIGERS!!! GO BLUE/GRAY!!

It's great that you ran last night. See, you didn't totally give up! There will be plenty of times where you eat something you know you shouldn't. Don't beat yourself up about it - enjoy it and don't feel guilty.

Bad mood today....kids acting up this morning, then I get to work and have to deal w/ a (will get banned if i use the word i want to!) salesman! man my blood is boiling right now! :furious: actually had to go outside to cool off!
i'm calm now....honestly....i promise!! :rolleyes1

food is going to be ok today...one of the girls brought in pimento cheese and all kinds of fixings....i said, boy, that all looks good, but no offense, i'm having my salad wrap and an orange. :teeth: not gonna blow it today! not going to stress eat either!! i'll work out my frustrations tonight on the run!

Hey Marie - I personally think it's a good thing you ate the burger & fries...wanna know why?

Because I don't think you're gonna want another one for a while!!! :teeth: That's the good part about eating bad. You get that yucky feeling afterwards, not to mention the guilt.....and that cures you from wanting that again for a while (never say never...that food tastes good ;)).

Now you're over the silly burger....and you're moving on. I agree with the last poster who mentioned that you didn't totally give up for the day....you RAN!!! That is awesome...I think I probably wouldn't have ran, I would have called the day a wash & layed around. Give yourself a big pat on the back for that one. AND you running again tonight....you GO girlie! :cheer2:

This is life....this is not diet for the rest of your years. You be good 99% of the time, and then treat yourself every once in a while. Don't be mad at yourself. You're doing AWESOME! :woohoo:
 
Thanks Kim, you are SOOOOO right about not wanting another burger again....I was miserable afterwards!! I'm better now and looking forward to running tonight!

Yuck, I feel for you on the salesman thing - those guys can be SO obnoxious sometimes! I know they are just doing their job, but COME ON!!!!

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better about things. And kimwim is right - this is a lifestyle change, not a diet. There will always be temptations. Sometimes you will make the right choice, sometimes you won't. You just need to find the right balance to enjoy life AND stay healthy!

Keep it up, you are doing great! :cheer2:

DH is asleep in the chair....he's not feeling well this morning....woke up with a headache...poooor baby!! :rolleyes1 (no, he didn't drink last night, we just need new pillows!!)
Ok, yesterday I was a bit hormonal...and people in general were breathing in my airspace....they should know not to do that!! I'm better today!

b-granola bar
s-orange - big fat one...only had half of it!!
l-salad wrap - i really like these things!! (soft taco shell, lettuce, light ranch dressing)
s-3 baked lays chips...needed something crunchy.
d-chicken taco - same thing as lunch, but add chicken and salsa instead of ranch.
water - 60 oz, 12 oz creme soda
exercise - 30 minutes of crunches,weights, and leg lifts- didn't get home til later so we didn't walk/run last night. I was really looking forward to it too!
resisted - pimento cheese, chips, dip, cokes, candy drawer, ice cream & m&m's!! wow - :teeth:

today is looking pretty good - dd6 has a b-day party to go to from 2:30-4:30 and ds10 has one to go to from 5-7....across town!! :confused3 oh well!
gotta get the house cleaned up too....got a little photo shoot tomorrow, probably an hour to get it done...nothing major. i will have plenty of time to workout tonight and tomorrow....i'm looking for a 1 or 2 lb loss on monday!! :wizard:

ps - do any of you have a cat that insists on jumping on you everytime you sit down at the computer? Honestly...she gets right up in my way, then gets "nasty" when i try to move her to type!! Anyone ever see a flying cat?? :rolleyes1 :teeth:

My cat used to lay in front of my computer when I was trying to type. And Yes it is Very annoying! The worst part was that was one of the only times that he would actually sit and let me pet him. I was always torn between petting him or moving him so that I could get back to what I was doing. :confused3

No sympathy for the flying cat - I am super allergic to cats! :sick: I do have a similar problem with kids who don't talk to me unless I am on the phone. And unfortunately DS9 is almost as tall as me so I can't toss him around anymore! :rotfl:
