Sister Challenge - moved to New Years Resolution in July

I know you don't want to post all the bad things you ate, but you really should! There have been some times when I was SO embarrassed to post what I binged on, but I did it anyway. And since I started doing that, I haven't really binged too much since I am horrified at what people must think!

It is a new month and you are going to kick butt! :cheer2: Be sure to get all your water in (I read that a woman is fully hydrated with 91oz of water per day). Drink a glass before each meal, before each Whopper, etc and before you know it, your body will crave it and you won't eat as much because your tummy will be full of water.

My kids fight all the time too. I'm glad I'm not the only one...

ok Amy, you win.....here's yesterday..... :guilty:

b-2 chocolate donuts
s-2 mini 3 muskateers (bite size)
l-TGIFridays Cheeseburger, fries, 2 potato skins, water w/ lemon
s-4 whoppers
d-nothing.....didn't have any room left in my waist band!!
exercise - none
resisted - none
water intake - basically none - 12 oz w/ lunch

today is starting off better...granola bar for b-fast and on my second glass of water.

gotta get back to housework.....uuuggghhhhh

Hey Marie :wave2: I'm proud of you for posting your food from yesterday! I agree that it helps to see it written down. It is added motivation.

I agree with what has already been said about the fact that you've been sick and now that you feel better you have been kind of comforting yourself w/ food that tastes good, but isn't so good for you. That is ok. Like you said to me, we have some good days and some bad. Having some good days is worth celebrating! You're gonna get back on track!

You can get back on track w/ the exercise too. I know that it is harder to exercise when you are by yourself, but try not to let that throw you off. Commit to it before the week begins and figure out what you want to do each day and maybe that will help you stick to it while your dh is gone. Also keep your April exercise challenge in mind. I know we are at the beginning of the month, but if you slack now it will make it really hard to make up the difference later in the month. The challenge is what helped me to exercise last week while I was out of town. I knew that I had slacked off the week before and I would not make my goal if I didn't get my butt in gear. It is good motivation. :teeth:

You can do it! :cheer2: Have a Great weekend!

Well that doesnt even really look that bad to me. Looks like you messed up early, but kind of adjusted anyway. Thats what I do (Krispy Kreme incident comes to mind)

I did it again btw, looked at your post and thought OMG 4 WHOPPERS!

repeats to self..whoppers are candy...whoppers are candy

:hippie:

Sunday morning....9:30 am....sitting at desk...laughing out loud, eyes watering, even snorked once.....kids looking at me like i have a third eye....
thanks Linda....great start to my day!!
(even called Dh and told him about it!!)

Yay for you! That took guts to write down everything you ate on your bad day. :cheer2:

You will get back on track with working out. I have also been really struggling with working out. I basically took 2 weeks off between the cruise and surgery, and now I am having one heck of a time making exercise part of my routine again. We'll get there eventually! :thumbsup2

Man, Amy.....I know what you mean!! It's going to be really hard to stay on track this week with DH gone!! I've just got to commit to doing it and DO IT!! I already know i'm not going to do my walk/run.....i don't like going out by myself...so i guess it's going to be just me and bob! might try his harder routines....what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger....right?......yeah, right!

ok....beautiful day today....rain is gone...it's about 80* w/ a nice breeze....going to pull weeds and possibly throw down some mulch!!

later taters!
marie

(took the kids to see Ice Age II - Meltdown....it was ok..)

My kids want to see that too, but we will most likely wait until it comes out on DVD (they are at their dad's for the next 2 weekends in a row and they will most likely have forgotten about it by the time I have them on a weekend!).

Great job planning that exercise while your DH is gone. YOU CAN DO IT! :cool1:  :cheer2:

WEIGH & PAY DAY!!

sis#1- if i lived closer to her i would put the batteries in the damn scale myself!! i told her no more reprieves, she had to weigh today-we'll see.

sis#2-no answer-i left her a message - she started a new job today and is training all this week. next week they are going to WDW ( :sad2: ) so she needs to check in today and get a reprieve next week.

sis#3 - me :teeth: - ok....sick for the first half of the week, binged for the second half of the week, didn't exercise at all and i still lost 1 lb!!
159!!! :woohoo:

yes, i know that if i don't get back on the exercise wagon that i will start to gain again, and that's not going to happen!! like i said before, dh is out of town, so no running this week, and working out is going to be a little tougher, but i can, and WILL do it!!
i have alot planned for this week while he's gone.....stuff he won't let me do while he's around..... :rolleyes1 no, it's nothing bad!! i'm going to tear the carpet out of the livingroom to get ready for the tile, and i'm going to try to paint both bathrooms while he's gone....(plus work 40 hrs a week, be a mom and get homework, baths and laundry done... ) anyway, wish me luck!

marie

Not a bad day food wise....

b-banana
s-nothing.....oh no, that's a lie.....2 whoppers, they were the mini ones so two little one's are actually the size of one big one...so can i count 1 whopper?
lunch - salad wrap....yumm!!
s-nothing
d- kinda craving a bowl of cereal, but also want a salad wrap.....hhhmmmm
exercise - does ripping out carpet count as exercise? i did work up a sweat and my legs were kinda tired from hauling it to the curb....i'm going to count it as 60 minutes....hey, i had to move the furniture by myself too!! dh is gonna be so ticked when he gets home!! :teeth: oh well!!
water intake - 64 oz....carpet tearing out makes you thirsty!
resisted - more whoppers, oreos

ds came home from school sick today...(posted about it on CB....i'm still ticked!) and i made him go lay down, that's how i was able to tear out the carpet.
i have to go help him with his homework now....
oh....my rottie is 14 yrs old today!! :lovestruc

later taters!

Hi Marie

I absolutely think ripping out carpet & hauling it to the curb is exercise!!

Awesome job with your food today!

Another vote for heck yeah thats exercise. (If it makes you sore it has to be exercise!)

You resisted oreos? Does that mean you have them in your house? I didnt think that was possible. Just going down the cookie aisle at the grocery puts me in a cold sweat. Fudge covered mint oreos. I touched the box. I must have put them back on the shelf...it all gets fuzzy after that....I'm pretty sure I didnt just sit in the aisle and eat the whole box.

linda, you are so funny!! thanks, i needed that!
yes, i have oreos in the house.....my DA DH (three guesses what "DA" stands for!) thinks that the kids need them for snacks. i've told him before not to buy them, but does he listen to me....nnnnooooooo!!! we also have two boxes of girl scout cookies in the pantry....and yes, one of them is Thin Mints!! they've been there for about 2 months. i think i'll take them to work today to get rid of them.
ok....gotta get ready for work.....
later!
marie

I just threw out 2 boxes of girl scout cookies last week. (I know, isn't that against the law? :teeth: ) I just couldn't stand them sitting there & no one eating them. It was either throw them away or eat them all. I was strong for some reason right then, so I chucked them. :rotfl:

Way to go on the food! You are definitely keeping busy with DH gone! He's not going to recognize his own house when he gets back!

As for the Oreos, kids don't need them! My kids eat yogurt (they love frozen Gogurt), canned fruit, cereal bars and granola bars. If they are lucky they might get some Twinkies in their lunch every once in a while. They can still snack without eating cookies! I don't know how you do it, that would just be too darn tempting for me... You must have some pretty good willpower for that kind of stuff! :cheer2:

I've told DA DH several times not to buy that kind of crap, but he does anyway. I agree that the kids don't need that stuff either, but he still buys it. And it's not the little boxes, he gets them at Sam's club. I think there like 25000 in a box.....

Man, I hate allergies!! I had the windows open in the house this evening and now my head is pounding so bad I could cry!! I told DH that I was making my own sinus cocktail and going to bed - 2 niquil (sp?) geltabs and 2 tylenol extra strengths. (wonder if i should have someone give me a wakeup call....)
Today wasn't bad....i guess....

b-8 oz chocolate milk - 1/2 glazed donut.
s-nothing
l-salad wrap w/ lite ranch
s-4 mini whoppers (sorrry, i'm weak)
d-corndog and small amount of shells & cheese (like 3 bites)
water - 64 oz, 12 oz caffine free coke
exercise - 30 crunches
resisted - more whoppers, candy drawer, oreos, girl scout cookies (took them to work) Khalua & cream. (REALLY craving one right now, but resisting.....barely!)

I really haven't done much as far as exercise yet this week. Nothing that I"m going to log anyway. 30 crunches, some work with the big ball....leg lunges and stuff.
gonna call it a night.....
later
marie

Wow, you had a lot of temptation yesterday! Great job resisting everything! 4 whoppers won't be the end of your efforts, and if it helps get rid of your cravings, it is worth it (as long as you can stop at a couple).

I am with you on the allergies. I take Claritin and that helps a lot. I have to take it every day, all year long (I am one of the lucky ones who is allergic to pretty much anything that is blooming, plus dust, cigarette smoke, cats, dogs, etc :sad2: )

Get that exercise in! :cheer2:

yes ma'am... :guilty:
Ya know, I have the utmost respect for single parents! DH has been gone since Sunday and I'm losing my mind!! How do you do it? Laundry, dishes, feeding, working, exercising, sleeping, homework....aaaarrrggggghhhhh!!
I actually sat down for 10 minutes last night to read the paper....of course it was the Sunday paper, but who cares!! I promise I have about 14 loads of laundry to wash, and that's not counting the clean stuff I have to fold and put away!! At least we have clean dishes....but when those run out, too bad, eat out of the pan!!

oh, sis #2 called this morning....180 i'm not sure what she was last week, i'll have to go back and check, but i think she's down anther pound. (just went back and looked - she's down 2 lbs from last week. UH OH!!)

ok...back to work....
marie

I was a single mom for several years. It is tough, but you just deal with it. I always joked that it got easier after I got divorced because instead of being a single mom with 3 kids, I became a single mom with 2 kids... :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Hang in there, your DH (even though he can be a DA, as you put it :teeth: ) will be back soon!
