Thanks Sha .... that would be great !!! Have a great trip and give Mickey a big hug from us all !!!

As far as I know ..... Magical Gatherings are for groups of 8 or more.:grouphug: :grouphug: I believe it doesn't matter which resort everyone stay at (they all can be different, I think) but in order to get the "gatherings" status we have to plan on a number of events (dinners, shows etc):yay: There are special tours that are available, too !!
I do know one thing for sure is that there should only be 1 person doing the reservations etc. You deal with a CM with Magical Gatherings concerning all events. I have no problem doing that ..... I am going to be contacting them this week in regards to a MG I am planning for next year for my family. Let me tell you a little about myself. I have been going to either DL or WDW for the last 39 years. I live in Canada and was blessed with parents that fed into my Disney addiction !! :laughing: I now have 2 children and I am in the process of planning our 4th trip of a lifetime as well as helping 7 different friends/family members with future trips. I don't claim to know everything (can anyone know it all ???) but because I work from my home, I have lots of work day time to research and contact people. I will find out all the details in regards to payments etc for rooms, tours, dining and I will post it all as soon as I have it.

The dates in October 2009 that are good for me are as follows .....
(please keep in mind that these run from Thursday until Monday. Please remember that Canada has its Thanksgiving during the weekend of 10th)
* October 1-5
* October 15-19
* October 22-26
We would be able to go to a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party probably on the Friday night.
I am going to be keep a paper trail of what everyone wants, requests etc. PLEASE specify if you are male of female -- some of the board names are a little confusing. Let me know about the recreational things you want to do, dining, and tours. I know Oct. 2009 seem a long way off but it will sneak up on us really fast and I would hate to see this trip not be as magical as it could be !!!!!! :wizard:

:flower3: Thanks again for all your interest -- maybe we can make a mate-match pirate: princess: or two !!!! :woohoo:

16. Describe a dream Disney weekend get-away - Booking a room at the Wilderness Lodge during Halloween, singing the "Boo To You" song all weekend,

Love, love, love this song...I have the CD in my car and it plays at random times all year! So Boo To You and You and You and You:thumbsup2

Good morning Peeps!!! Ok.. now I can sit and settle in... I just got back yesterday and went straight to work... I did laundry when I was there so I tell yah!! My suitcase is ready for the enxt trip :lmao: so when are we going... Dates... dates... dates... Monday to Thursday is also great for me... since flights seems to be cheaper those times... but anywhoooooooo if I am given enough time which it is for 2009 :goodvibes I can follow the flow :thumbsup2

GG number they have given me is 407-939-7526. Yes!! We dont have to be in one resort we can all be spread apart in the World... You are in Canada... does this mean you get charge long distance calls ?? IF you do.. and you need to call some stuff that will place you on hold.. I can do it for you... I work 4PM to midnite which in this case I am free some mornings... ( work part time occasional mornings to support my LFDS (Love For Disney Syndrome) :rotfl2:

Illumination Dessert gatherings: 2 years ago it was a min. of 25 peeps when I did it... they might have changed that now... we can check if 8 or more can qualify... But with the 25 peeps back then that placed every for about $30 - $35 a guest...

suggestion:

Anybody want to do "I survive Three great Mountains" Meet !!! Space Mountain, Slash Mountain and BTMR :goodvibes ( Am I showing a pattern here... BTMR.. Splash.. Space.. TOT... hmm I just dont do RNR :scared1: my chirpractor wasnt happy after that ride :lmao:

OK.. time to upload some pics... Did the Toy Story mania over the weekend and It was Great!! They did it again!!!!

Because I run my own business I have a business phone plan that allows LOTS of "free" minutes and I can write it off ! I do that P/T thing too .... LFDS can be a little expensive but soooooooooo worth it !!! hehehe

Now ..... go get your posting about your trip done and we can discuss this all after !!! I want to see a report !!! LOL Hope you had a great time.

I also heard that there is a Haunted Hayride in Fort Wilderness --- might be an idea too !!!! Could be LOTS of fun !!:maleficen :hmghost:

Hi Everyone -

I need to find 10 minutes tonight to do all the questions about myself, work has been very busy.

Thought I would pop in about the Magical Gatherings. If we are a small group 8-12 these are a great way to go. If we are more as the OP suggested we could do a dessert party or special event. (I have many that I have worked on for clients and there are some amazing options)

Here is the MG info:

I have done them all except for the Safari Celebration (so that is obviously my first choice) but out of everything I have done, I loved the International Dinner. BTW, except for the cruise, you can use 2 dining credits for these experiences.

Thanks InstImpres !!! I want to do it all !!!!!!!!!! We might as well take advantage of everything we can, being a larger group. If we have too many ( more than 12) maybe we can split up and plan over a couple nights. Keep the suggests coming ... I am keeping track of them all and I will post all of it together so we can vote on or put together people with like interests !!! Ohhh -- this is so much fun !!

Since there has been some definite interest this idea, I decided to start this new thread. :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1:

First I guess we should determine the following ...
1) who and their top 3 choices for when you can go
2) own room, share with friend or group of friends
3) how long you are interested in staying (2, 3, 7 days, etc)
4) hotel preference ??? (Value ?, Moderate ?, Deluxe ? -- I, personally, would vote for value so I have more $$$$ to spend on other things)

Is anyone still interested ??? Keep me posted !!!! :woohoo: :rotfl: :woohoo:
I think a good time for activities like this is the first to mid part of December. Okay, I like Christmas and the theme parks - Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, etc. - all have the Christmas decorations out and many have Christmas programs. The weather is usually mild (low to mid 70s but you probably need a sweater during the evenings). I also spend two week in Orlando at my timeshare during this time period as I like this season. I definitely would not recommend the summers. The most miserable vacations I've had were taken in Orlando in the summer - too hot, too crowded, too annoying!

Its okay Jen, I see someone went ahead and looked up the info anyways... I want to discourage the first couple weeks of Dec. because of Mousefest. Its incredibly crowded and the transportation is at its worst. Granted, I would use my own vehicle. But I will go with the majority on whatever we decide. Am looking forward to this!

it does all sound neat! the dessert and the safari are 2 that i like the most... but again, whatever the majority wants to do :) im flexible!!! LOL

I agree about the December -- Mousefest, and plans for Christmas, etc. I know December is not too good for me because of my day care business. All the Gathering events sound soooo great ... I think we will probably set all of them up (as long as we have enough confirmed). On the day we want to do the MK, we could do the Tony's Breakfast in the morning and the do MNSSHP at night .... that type of thing. Each day have a special event.

I have SSR too... and AK. what was wrong with AK?? Havent had the chance to stay there...

OOh. I want to go. I am Jennifer, 33, newly single, from Nashville. I have two kids. I am a teacher, so it would be hard to go in October, but I am sure I could work it out. I am up for anything. I would love to meet some new people and make friends at the greatest place! Pop sounds good also.

another LFDS here!! and would love to tag along on a trip. Unfortunately, I work at a college and I'm subject to the academic calendar, even more so, our sports schedule, especially in the fall.

I'm available from Dec 15-Jan 15, then our spring break usually the 2nd week of March...then anytime after May 10th until August 15th. I know, UGH...

I absolutely love the Christmas decorations, I've been down there Thanksgiving weekend with my daughter. It's really not that bad. It's all about the attitude!!!

I'll work on the list of questions/answers shortly!! Have a great night!:wave2:

Love, love, love this song...I have the CD in my car and it plays at random times all year! So Boo To You and You and You and You:thumbsup2

.....it's really not so scary AH aha ahaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!:rotfl2: that's me singing the next line! :rotfl2:
I joined a photopass share last year and failed to buy the cd at the MNSSHP-I paid a fellow photopass share member $$ to buy it for me when she went :thumbsup2 Now, whenever I need a smile I play "the song," as my employees put it. They know I'm having a really bad day when I break out "the song" and make everyone listen to it!

I’m with Jenroc, InstImpress, all those actities sound like fun to me. I’m up for any or all of them. And I’m willing to any ride any time! I’m a big coaster fan (my son and I are heading to Cedar Point in a couple of weeks) so Disney coaster rides are pretty tame to me. Mission Space, though, is great (orange line, that is).
October sounds pretty good to me except for the 18th. My son turns 21 that day. Course if we did it the second week of December, my birthday’s the 16th. J
That said, though, I’m pretty flexible with getting time off from work.
