Love Washington! Number one for me was to stand on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial exactly where Martin Luther King said "I Have a Dream....." , goosebumps! They have carved the words into the steps there and the view down the mall to the Capitol is breathtaking

I agree..and totally mind blowing at night..the whole city takes on a "disney main St type glow"......I need to go back for a week at least, just to do the Smithsonian's..all 9 of them.

dont expect the white house to be huge, houses out in kellyville are bigger

I definitely want to tour the monuments at night, think we will do this our first evening in DC.

You will have to haul it in NYC with so few days but it is totally doable. Such an awesome city and so much to see.

I realise you won't have time for a TR but if you could pop in every now and again and let us know how you are going that would be great.

I reckon I would be happy to go and spend a month in NY and a month at Disney maybe one day This trip we just plan on going to Madison square gardens, Rockfeller, Mary Poppins, the zoo, FAO Schwartz and can't decide on the opening night of the US Open.

Thanks I am actually looking forward to a more laid back trip this time no crazy 3 days of driving to get somewhere I still can't believe we are actually checked into the same hotel for 12 nights

Sprintcar highway, they are here? We go to the highway at night last year, the Department of Health that his brother was the demolition derby run. Many years ago, I have been to, but have forgotten how noisy, muddy and smelly.

I'm not really sure where you went to the speedway but we are going to race tracks yep it's noisy, muddy and smelly and my kids and DH it the great thing about having family with different likes is the variety of things you get to do and see
