Sing it with me...

Glad to hear you all had a great time & got home safely. Pity we didn't bump into eachother, but when we read eachother's trip reports, we might discover our paths nearly crossed!

I think I saw you twice! Did you go to see the characters at 4pm one day with your girls in princess dresses and was the older girl wearing a Sleeping Beauty dress? I kept trying to sidle up to see if I could hear an Irish accent but was aware I looked a bit shifty doing this!:rotfl: I hadn't got the nerve to say hello, just in case I'd got the wrong person.

We were there on the Sunday. It was the day that only Mr Pengiun & Launchpad McDuck were there. We had just come back from our Princess Lunch, so the girls were still in their dresses. This was us :

I was standing next to you!:rotfl2: I remembered your DD's dress because it was so pretty. I passed you on the way to breakfast one morning too. You were at the bottom of the stairs when the characters came down and we were standing to your right. I thought it was you, but couldn't face the embarrassment of looking like a stalker if I was wrong.

Nothing for it - you'll both have to go again, so you can say hi.:cool1:

Gosh Juliette that went quick!!

Glad you had a fab time :thumbsup2 Can't wait to hear more :thumbsup2

Hi Patsy, tell me about it. It seems like yesterday when I booked. I would love to be planning another trip but money's too tight to mention.:rotfl:

I feel your pain Juliette :sad2: We too are not going until December (probably!). Mixture of lack of funds and mostly timings - we can't get because of DH's work and a few other things... Still, I'm hoping we'll get to see Santa this year there :thumbsup2

That would be amazing. Would you stay at the DLH? With rising prices, it would be a real stretch for us. I'm sure I can convince myself to book another trip - not so sure about DH though.

Oh, I wish you had said Hello. We really should have planned a meet. I was probably too engrossed in restraining Natasha who would have wanted to just run over to the characters to notice anyone around me! As hildasmuriel said, we'll just have to go again just so we can say 'hi'.

I wonder if we're in your photos! I've checked mine and can't see you.

Yes I think we'd do DLH again, the problem is, like others said on here when I was dithering in booking there originally, once you stay there, you don't want to stay anywhere else - if only for the sheer convenience of it - esp with little ones. I'm not ruling out the other hotels just yet though! ;)

My other issue is DD1 starts school in September so it would mean taking her out for a week in December - I'm not sure how I feel about that really although it seems to be done quite a lot. I've been told school will authorise 10 days leave a year. So I guess we'll see. I REALLY want to go again but it took us almost 3 years to get there the first time (I planned and almost booked 3 times in the 3 years before eventually going!) - I hope it doesn't take as long again. I just wish it weren't sooo blooming expensive!! Doesn't help that we have to fly - Eurostar is just too far for us! :sad2:

Not unless this man belongs to you :

or you are in the background here :

:rotfl2: That man lurking in the background definitely isn't mine. I can't see any of us in your pics. I can't believe I didn't say hello when I saw you!

I love the convenience of the DLH. Nipping back in the cold weather was great. We took our girls out of school for 3 days. We arrived on the Sunday and got back at tea-time on Wednesday. I am seriously considering Eurostar if it will save money. You can pay with Tesco vouchers for Eurostar - I think it's £31 worth of vouchers for each ticket. The trouble is, I would want to go back to the DLH, so I'm looking at about £1300:scared:
