I did a sitting recently and Mom has been slow about getting back to me on which shots she wants to use in the announcements. I mad some up wiht my fav shots and want some opnions from you all....

Are they too busy ? Do they look okay ? Do you like the white or yellow background better ? What about the last one ? It would be printed as a regular postcard that they could just throw in the mail instead of having to address and enevelope and stuff.

honest opnions here please!? thanks!!

Very nice. The 1st and the post card are my favs. It looks like you may have posted the same one twice. I don't think they are too busy.

the 3rd one is an all white background but it doesn't show up that way on this board. Sorry!

I am leaning towards the postcard myself too.

I like the yellow bg one and the postcard. You might want to PS the fingernail on the postcard. It is a little yellowed and my eyes were drawn right to it instead of the baby.

they are all very nice,

something about the vertical shot and the babies tilted head..looks painful to me..I'd be more inclined to buy one of the triples with that pic removed...

the last one is absolutely awesome, the black just makes everything stand out more especially the baby...

if I were the parent I would definitely order the last one, with one small change, being an overprotective Dad, who always errs on the side of caution I would want it in a size that fits in an envelope, for 2 reasons,...

1. in this crazy world of ours I would not want to advertise the new baby, with a return address just in case some psycho should happen to see it.
2. the picture would be better protected and less likely to get scratched enroute to the recipients...

I like the yellow and the black postcard.

return addresses are not required on postcards though but I could get envelopes for it if I had to.

That's the same thing I thought when I first saw it! Such a cute baby, but she looks a little awkward/uncomfy in that picture.

I love the postcard-- it's fantastic!! :thumbsup2 (And I didn't notice the fingernail until someone pointed it out.)

the postcard is so awesome that I want to order them and it's not my baby...:confused3 :confused3

i third the crooked head shot( always drove me nuts when that happened in the kids car seats:lmao: )
i like the last one best, very elegant although i too noticed the yellow 1/2 chewed looking nail so maybe could you whiten it up a bit? ( sorry.. anal retentiveness is a curse:) )
it might be easier to send cards but i would rather send them in an envelope as well..imo looks nicer plus the "crazy psycho nutjob" factor. return add. only take a second to print up on clear labels... worth it imo

I love the postcard!

:rotfl: about the nail...

I like the last one; as mentioned earlier, the black background really makes the pic stand out, very dramatic. All are gorgeous!:cloud9:

The nails are yellow due to all the smoking that is done.

this is what I am printing up, Looks like the postcard but small enough to fit in an envelope without costing more than regular mail. both of the parents are religious so I thought the saying fit.

absolutely incredible...

great job

Thank you all for thenice words. I am very nervous about this. This Mom ahs at least 3 friends who are pregnant right now and I want everyone to love these.

they should love them, they look great and are a quality product...you did a great job and deserve to be paid for that...

not that you asked but just a hint from running our own business for 20+ yrs.. be careful not to sell yourself short...if they aren't happy with a great job like these, you don't need their business. when you are trying to start a business you want to create good feedback but some people just will never be happy, no matter how good your product or how reasonable your price is...these look great and if they aren't happy with them you are better off not dealing with them...someone else will come along that will recognize your ability and appreciate it( hard lesson we have thick headedly had to learned the hard way::rolleyes: :lmao: :lmao: )

Thanks for the tip. I've already had to cut two friendships. First one cuz everytime any asked me about my photography around her, she said, "I take real pictures and she just photoshops them". There went that frindship. All froma woman who refuses to even look at photoshop but shoots totally digital and prints straight from the camera. Doesn't know anything about digital photography except to use the camera exactly like her film one. No retouching, editing or anything fun. her photo's weren't that great either. She had some nice shots but I wanted to play with so many of them. 2nd friend was when I offered to do ehr youngest DD pics to use for my portfolio. She took as to mean I would give her all my files and she wouldn't have to buy a thing from me. I would also crop them all to fit her size specs and then she could order them from Kodak.com.

I'm learning slowly but still building my portfolio. Can't wait to go back to school in a few years and learn more web-based stuff.
