Since everybody always hears complaints regarding WDW busses, I just wanted to say...

I LOVE the Disney busses!!!

Our WDW trip doesn't feel complete with out riding those darn busses, we just love them. The fun of racing to the stop to catch the bus before it leaves, talking to all the different drivers, meeting new people from all over the country and even the world is all apart of the fun. And where else can you find busses that clean?

Then of course as I enter each bus I glance at each name tag looking for the famous Tyler, it's more fun then a Where's Waldo book. ;) I haven't found him yet but there's always the next trip, I'll keep searching-lol.

We usually drive down to WDW but once we're there our car is parked and only moves for our trip to Steak-n-Shake.

Of course we enjoy the monorail and boats but they're the ones in the spotlight the busses are the heart of the operation and deserve some praise.

Any other bus lovers out there? :)

We too think they are part of the magic. We drive and find parking spaces at home, we sit in traffic at home. It is nice to let somebody else do the driving. Also, somehow it helps us settle down before we get back to the resort. Driving seems to harsh and right back into reality, the bus seems to be part of the magic.
We also usually rent and park but this time I think we are doing towncar shuttle. If we feel we still need a car, we will rent on site for a couple of days. We usually do like to drive to the water parks but just don't consider it priority this year. We are not going to be in a hurry. We have seen everything and just want to enjoy again.:smooth:

I love, love, love Disney Transportation. I believe that there are really two camps of Disney Guests. One camp views transportation as a matter of speed and convenience. The other camp wants to totally leave reality at the door. Neither is better or worse, just very different. It is very difficult to convince the other camp of the advantages of their thinking.

I love Disney Transportation because if I am vacation the last thing I want to do is worry about directions and parking. I travel for work and sit in cars alot. I love that I don't have to worry about any traffic, directions, any of that at WDW. I don't care how long I wait; I am not the one driving. Just a personal preference.

The bummer is the folks I travel with are of the opposite camp and to them renting a car is the way. While I understand their thinking and their logic(It is correct), I get a little bummed out and miss out on a little bit of my vacation not taking the Disney Busses. Oh well.......

I agree 100%. Driving around Disney is for the people who 1) like it, or 2) do not yet know how carefree Mickey's motorcoaches can be!

We like the buses too. It is fun and we don't miss the hassle of driving. We just can't figure out how they have enough time to move the signs so our stop is ALWAYS the furthest away. LOL!
Thumbs up for the buses & their entertaining drivers
=0)

Our son loves the buses. It is part of the vacation! AT AKL (Timbuktu to some) over Labor Day Weekend we had GREAT bus transportation to all four parks! I was VERY early for my 8:05 am PS at Cindy's!

Being a single mom, I'm always doing the driving and I greatly appreciate that someone else can drive. I also look for "ChipandDaleExpress" and have yet to catch up with him. But our next trip I have seven days to hopefully find him and say "HI and Thank you!"

TWO THUMBS UP for the Disney Transportation!

We will be visiting the "World" july 17-24. I hate to drive, therefore I refuse to rent a car. I dont care how long I have to wait for a bus. I'm a single parent and have to play taxi for my 15yr old son and all of his homies. A vacation to me is having someone to chauffer me around, cook, and clean for me. Now that's what I call a VACATION.;)

We love the buses at WDW!!!!!!!!!!

We also love riding on the Disney busses. DS who is 4 calls them Mickey busses. It's fun to talk to the drivers and the other passengers.

The busses are great for putting my kids to sleep. They get in a quick nap, and are ready to go swimming for awhile, when we get to resort. Sometimes they don't wake right up, if they are really tired. We can carry them to the room, and lay them down, without hearing that they aren't tired. THEN we get a nap too!!!:D :D :D

MY DH takes public transportation every day to work, and I tell you what.. Disney busses are wonderful compared to SEPTA! (Philly area transit system, but on the PA side)

Also, we drive about 20 hours to get there, who wants to drive even more!

The busses are great for us. But again, we are used to public transportation here in this family!

When we start seeing those big ol' busses we know we are for sure at Walt Disney World!!

I actually love all the different transportation options available at Disney. It's so nice not to have to drive around everywhere. Last November we drove to Disney for the first time and I couldn't wait to get out of that car!! We stayed at OKW and I had heard horror stories about the bus system for this resort but we never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus anywhere! It was great. The bus system here in Cleveland is called GCRTA and the buses for the most part are noisy, dirty and raggedy. But not so with the Disney buses. We are usually not in a hurry once we hit Disney property and waiting for the buses is part of the fun for us.

I can't wait to take the buses to the parks in August. Well, except for the MK, our bus stop is the last one all the way at the end of pavilion B but someone's resort has to be the last one so, oh well!

What I really love are those great Disney Bus Drivers, especially the guy who tells the kids that if they are not good and don't listen to their parents, they are going to have to scrub all the WDW buses in the fleet with toothbrushes.

Anytime I don't have to drive I am a happy camper! Disney transportation is wonderful. They do a really terrific job!

OMG -- we had the famous (infamous?) Tyler for our driver on our last day at the MK. What a hoot -- cracked us up the entire ride! We did not want to get off the bus and, for once, were thankful that we were the last stop (which is not normal -- we're usually the first)!!!!!

About the busses ... on Early Entry to EPCOT, the second we stepped off of the bus at EPCOT, my DS complained that his feet hurt and he wanted his sneakers. So, I left DS w/DH & Grandma and turned around to the bus stop. Well, there were 6 other people waiting for a bus back to our resort ... and they said that the drivers were trying to get a bus. I asked how long they were waiting ... they said a few minutes b/c they had to get a bus from AKL b/c it's closest to ASSports to arrive and they didn't know when that would be. As a driver was walking to her bus, she said she'd radio ahead and ask for a private bus to arrive. I am not kidding when I tell you that not 2 mins. later, a bus pulled up w/"Private" on it just for the 7 of us!!! The driver took us to ASSports and gave us all kinds of information about the parks!

For example, the new Pop Century is specifically for conventions and people coming in w/bands, dancing, cheerleading, etc. so they can all stay in one spot. It has more rooms than all 3 All Stars combined! It was fascinating the things he told us!!!! Also, an SUV ran into a ditch and as we approached and passed by, the driver said "Looks like the imagineers are testing a new ride ... doesn't look like it's going so well!"

I love the busses ... the drivers are so entertaining and informative!!!

DH and I love the busses too! WE look forward to being driven around and not worrying about driving, navigating and parking. It's nice after a long day in the parks to just flop in a seat and know that we can just relax and be delivered to our resort. And hey, if it takes a little while to get on a bus....no big deal---we are on vacation, we have all the time in the world.:D

Who is Tyler?

Tyler(Chip 'n Dale Express) is a member here at the Dis and host of the Transportation forum. He is an actual Disney bus driver who I hear is a total hoot! He's a very nice guy who always takes the time to respond to members questions about Disney transportation.
