What would be the simplest route from BLT to Boardwalk? We have dinner reservations there one night. Thanks!

walk over (or take monorail) to MK and catch the Boardwalk resort bus.

Walk to MK, take bus to Boardwalk. That's the simplest. But if you're interested in a different route, talk a bus to DHS, and hop the boat or stroll the path. It's really nice.

The MK bus depots are a very short walk from BLT. Head there and jump on the BWV bus.

If you have a car, the very fastest and simplest thing is to drive.

It may be faster to drive, but parking at BW/BWV is a pain - even when you're staying there. I love staying at BW, and will be there for 10 nights in September, but I'm not looking forward to parking there. That is the one resort where my car does not move from the day I check in to the day I check out.

I would second walking to the MK bus depot and taking the BW/BWV bus.

I definitely agree with walking to the bus depot, but just wanted to say that on our trip to WDW last summer which included a lengthy stay at the Boardwalk, we actually had a much easier time than normal when it came to parking. It seems like they are being much more stringent on non-resort guests parking in the lot across the street from the Boardwalk parking lot.

When we went down for the Food and Wine Festival last October, we stayed at AKL and went to the Boardwalk twice and both times they required us to park in the lot across the street (once was early in the afternoon -- 1ish/2ish). I'm not complaining in the slightest because I'm well aware of the Boardwalk parking troubles...but it seems like they've gotten better about it at the gate.

Sorry for the threadjack!

That would be great, and I hope that even though September is low season, they will keep enforcing it - but it seems to me that the walk from across the street would be about the same as the walk from BLT to the MK bus depot, so in this case, I still think the depot is the best plan too. I really prefer to drive to DTD from BW, but it's so hard to get a parking space if you stay out very late that I just quit doing it.

OP, pay attention to the park hours for MK and DHS if you take the bus. If you're dining late, you'll need to know if the parks are open late enough for you to get a bus connection back to BLT. If not, you could end up having to take a taxi. Just something else to throw into the mix!
